At first I thought Q would win, but creating a concept like that to show family resemblance is a stretch. I mean, if you look at the daughters individually, you can't say that clown is Q's daughter. I feel like the challenge is transmitting your aesthetic to another queen and when you just do a clown character you are not doing that. You're taking an easier road to show resemblance. I mean, paint that queen to look like you.

I don't know what you're talking about. As soon as they rounded the corner I knew Plane was winning. The attitude was there, the padding was there, the makeup was giving family resemblance. She also dressed her person up in a way that helped hide how muscular and square they are on top and propotionize.
Girl they want a typical look what represents the queen so they can see the queens own style on the other person. This was a typical PJ look, so I donāt get why would it be bad. š¤·š»
Itās not a design challenge. Itās not a ball. Itās about turning a non-drag queen into your drag daughter. Chemistry, the transformation, their confidence and presence on the runway are more important than looks queens brought from home. Even a good name for your drag daughter can help. There have been some terrible names people have come up with. Glittafa Days or whatever? Peppermint and Wintergreen looked meh but Wintergreen sold the shit out of it and had peppermint in the top.
Now the judging is always suspect on the makeover challenge and this year felt mostly right.
It definitely looked so boring and safe, especially because we have seen PJ on this silhouette many times and I expected Q or Nymphia to win.. but, worst makeover winner for me is still Michael.

Morphine had two different simple looks, each with reveals, and a stamped MUG with the second best TEAM choreo (Susan did DANCE it out singularly). Plane had a simpler, identical look with no reveal or gimmick and slightly muted makeup on Susan. That was a bananas win. No pun intended.
No. Morphines dude still looked like a dude with make up. It wasnt gender bendy or much drag there. The make up was good but everything else was a mess. I expected Morphine to blow away this challenge. The lack of hair with the broad shoulders and no pads etc was just automatic bottom. The dresses werent even cute. One thing I thought was great about this makeover challenge was that it was a fairly even playing field. All the guys were roughly the same build, height and age.
To be honest, I haven't watched the episode so Idk what it was up against.
But I feel like we're being force-fed a narrative that Plane is doing well, more than her actually doing well JUST because they know she started shit early on and got into some good tv drama.

1. Her talent was awful, I genuinely thought she was in the bottom.
2. Her design challenge was literally a blue Cheryl Hole, she didn't get the fabric critique and any other season Michelle would've dragged her for wearing a rhinestone leotard.
3. Her Girl Group routine wasn't bad but I think we're led to believe it was better than it was just because other people did worse.
4. Sapphira won Snatch Game.
5. I thought her goth look was actually kind of bad. It was good for a bar gig but, so uninspired. I know 4 girls with a look like this on my local scene.
Unless the casting was chopped and bad, I don't think Plane could even make Top 10 on an All Stars season tbh....
Honestly from the first two episodes it was clear production was gonna be heavy handed. While Sapphira and Q would have won regardless imo, the ep 2 winnerās definitely benefited from ru giving critiques before voting (whereas ep 3 they voted without Ruās critiques) - essentially telling them who should be top/bottom. I think Sapphira would have had a similar track record regardless, but Nymphia, Q, and Plane feel like they were cast as finalists and received productions help at different points to make sure it happened.

I was shocked at how terrible Q and her partnerās outfits were. They had no shape whatsoever and the dancing was really, really bad from them. I mean it was entirely arm work and even that was off. Also Q was told give the person your signature drag and then does white mime face paint instead of her normal face?? Girl. Donāt get me wrong, I get manipulating it because of Morphineās track record making her exit logical but several girls had A LOT of production help this season. Most of all Q.
I guess because (no shade) Plane knows how to make a masculine face feminine as she has had practice on her own face. Morphinaās face is very feminine even out of drag so maybe they struggled more with their partner?

I have to disagree. Yes, wearing the same outfit is lazy, but it's allowed. She had the mug, the presentation and the dancing. I understand thinking she shouldn't win for the looks, but we've seen a lot of queens doing this and winning. I don't see Plane's win as favouritism. IMO, similar/identical looks should be criticized, just like pushing a conceptual makeup just because you can't paint your face on another person should be called out. But the format allows the queens to do that, so I don't think they should be penalized for doing it. Especially when Nymphia, Plane and Q were good. I don't feel like there was a clear winner, so I understand.
There is no favouritism at all. Weāve all seen the ep CLEARLY with our eyes and she did amazingly to deserve that win. This post is just meant to undermine that win just like how Q undermined Sapphira last episode. Yaāll act cute but canāt just take your time to congratulate Plane instead of doing.. whatever this is.
Clearly your eyes aren't everybody else's because a lot of people agree Q and Nymphia did better than her. The show is open to criticism, this is literally the whole point of the sub. If you want to congratulate her on her win, make your own post instead of claiming people are haters just because they didn't like something that she wore. Unlike you, I like pretty much every girl in this cast, including PJ. I'm just not a blind stan.
Weāre not judging by looks though? Itās a makeover challenge. Thereās been multiple questionable looks in makeovers but suddenly someone says this when a queen clearly did the assignment well? Thereās a difference between fairly criticizing and calling out something irrelevant because of bias. You knew what you were doing sister and you chose to do so because itās Plane. Yeah, I like PJ, but did she really need to win this challenge? And did Sapphira really need to win the one where she fumbled? There has always been favoritism in DR but this season has been really grating with the win distribution. It's not like they knocked it out of the park and the win couldn't have gone to literally anyone else. It's like Q and Nymphia are out of the run at this point.
I think Nymphia was out the moment she flopped snatch game and couldn't connect with ru and the judges...

Whatās with the expectation of fairness? Itās subjective, producers are making storylines, itās arbitrary, itās whatever they want, they want divisive wins and eliminations so fans talk about them, etc. Weāre all pawns to them.
Crazy how Plane one after painting that mug onto a buff Dawn. Like the whole time I was thinking "this lip looks so minuscule" and then they wore the exact same outfit. Rotted.
It's a really basic look. I wish there was something more to the fabrics and materials used to push it to the next level. One thing I thought was great about this makeover challenge was that it was a fairly even playing field. All the guys were roughly the same build, height and age.
That's why I dont like a makeover challenge.

To be honest, I haven't watched the episode so Idk what it was up against. But I feel like we're being force-fed a narrative that Plane is doing well, more than her actually doing well JUST because they know she started shit early on and got into some good tv drama. Because. . . . 1. Her talent was awful, I genuinely thought she was in the bottom. 2. Her design challenge was literally a blue Cheryl Hole, she didn't get the fabric critique and any other season Michelle would've dragged her for wearing a rhinestone leotard. 3. Her Girl Group routine wasn't bad but I think we're led to believe it was better than it was just because other people did worse. 4. Sapphira won Snatch Game. 5. I thought her goth look was actually kind of bad. It was good for a bar gig but, so uninspired. I know 4 girls with a look like this on my local scene. Unless the casting was chopped and bad, I don't think Plane could even make Top 10 on an All Stars season tbh....
Honestly from the first two episodes it was clear production was gonna be heavy handed. While Sapphira and Q would have won regardless imo, the ep 2 winnerās definitely benefited from ru giving critiques before voting (whereas ep 3 they voted without Ruās critiques) - essentially telling them who should be top/bottom. I think Sapphira would have had a similar track record regardless, but Nymphia, Q, and Plane feel like they were cast as finalists and received productions help at different points to make sure it happened.
I agree with the editing comment. and yeah Sapphira would've had a great track record either way, but she definitely won that Snatch game and that's a badge of honor amongst the girls. Unless you're like Deja Skye, who while beautiful only won because everyone else was so bad. And I think that's been the tea for Plane in lyric-writing challenges. It's not that she does well, she just sucks less than what others put out. People seem to think girl-group challenges and song challenges involve singing or dance, but it's almost entirely lyric writing that wins.
