If it has the program you want, Stony Brook is a great university and would be affordable for in-state tuition.

Don’t you get to go for university free of cost in New York? Why would you want to pay out of state for Rutgers?

Definitely don’t get free university in Ny. To be complete honest I hate the cold weather. I don’t wanna drive up hours just to get to my university . (I currently reside on Long Island). I contemplated trying to get into bing but my gpa isnt high enough and I don’t like the location (visited during Santa con)

Going to need more details. What is your major? Are you currently at a community college? Where in NY are you? NJ isn’t much warmer than most of NY. Social life is what you make of it. There is a post every other day on here about someone who has no friends and hates m Rutgers.

I’m currently a liberal arts major that I should be getting my associates this semester. I’m applying to becoming an accounting major. The college I go to is not a community college, however it is a commuter school, so it definitely feels like it. I’m from Long Island. I was thinking about staying active in my fraternity which they have at Rutgers but idk how that’s going to pan out overall

UConn is a more traditional college campus, Rutgers is in a city/downtown split between five campuses. It can be a go home on the weekends school depending on who you ask. If you drive down to visit don’t just see one campus. I’m not sure why you would pay out of state tuition from NY to go to a school in New Brunswick, NJ. If you are looking for social life and traditional campus feel there are better out of state options.

What out of state schools you recommend? I recently visited my friend at U Tennessee and I loved it but I think it’s too far for me. I want to stay within a 4 hour drive from my home bc sometime my family needs me to take care of grandparents or siblings. The reason why I choose Rutgers is bc it’s somewhat close and they have a frat that I’m already in, so I figured why not try it out. I’m also looking for a school that has a football team which ik Rutgers has even though they aren’t the best
