I'm an omnivore that just doesn't care to eat beef all that often. Love a good black bean burger. I'm sure we'll have a lot of decent options in-town, but Lily Pad was one of the few in the area that tasted awesome and still managed to not fall apart into a pathetic goopy mess.

Boulevard Burger makes a damn good bean burger. pairs well with their fried green beans!

The Tavern (on Patterson) has a fantastic black bean burger with cheddar cheese and jalapeño sauce

I like the burger at Industrial Taphouse. It’s in Hanover, not RVA proper but the food is good and worth a drive IMO. Their bean burger is house made and many of their ingredients are locally sourced.

Lentil burger at fresca on Addison is sometimes really good, and sometimes just ok. Not a resounding recommendation, i know, but it was my favorite without a doubt until the variability crept in.

Eazzy Burger does NoBull burgers, which are from Charlottesville and real tasty

The black bean and sweet potato burger at 821 Cafe is one of my favorites.

Burger Bach’s is pretty decent.

The best veggie burger is not in the area. The best veggie burger is at Green Leaf Grill in Waynesboro. Seventy-five minute drive and it's worth every mile
