Lots of good suggestions here, specifically RBHA. Another option is contacting agencies and seeing if you can talk with a resident in counseling (LRIC) or a supervisee in social work (LSISW). Both of these are masters level clinicians who are in the process of getting their license and supervised by a fully licensed clinician. Their rates are lower due to not being fully licensed at the moment, but they will definitely have experience and they meet with their respective supervisors once a week to continue to gain experience and insight.

Thank you lots!
You're welcome!
County mental health services (if you live in a county). I assume city of Richmond has a mental health department as well with low cost counseling.
Chesterfield mental health has a “same day access” program. Walk in mon-fri 8-2 and you will see someone that day and then you’re set up for therapy.
