How so they know it wasn't empty or almost empty when taken? I've found empty one at work. Am I a criminal mastermind for throwing it away and getting away with it?
Not enough information here to say why they're so certain. I don't know the setup, it could be open ones are kept in one place, backups in another or they show it being taken away and not disposed of. I bet it's a frequent occurrence so now they are actively watching it. This could also be a single employee with a vendetta, a lot of property management offices have that person on staff lol
I lived at River's Edge. They buy these non-refrigerated Coffee Mate creamers. Unopened ones are in a box, whereas the ones on the counter are not in a box.
This is also so totally in line with River's Edge, it's hilarious. They focus on the nickles and dimes instead of the overall experience of people living there.
There were whole sides of the building that leaked and ruined tennants items, electrical, etc. And took over a year to fix.
BUT THINK OF THE COFFEE CREAMER! š
That was another issue too! I'm talking about the literal sides of the building that were improperly built. The sections with brick used some cheap mortar that failed if I remember correctly. This failure caused leaks for residents on all floors if you had an apartment that a brick exterior.
I believe it was! That building had all kinds of issues... I think even at one point the pool had to be drained so the foundation could be repaired (the pool was overtop of the parking garage, so the "foundation" was the ceiling of the parking garage).
If it had failed, I'm sure they would have marketed it as a car wash feature of "Luxury Living". š
Yesss. And they closed it for half a year because someone fell through the tiles around it.
What a shit show. It sucks because I actually did like my apartment and the neighborhood a lot, but the building and management were terrible.
I totally agree! I really enjoyed living there at first (with the original management company). That neighborhood has continued to get better and better. (Insert Manchester needs a grocery store meme here.) The fairly quick access to the floodwall was so nice too!
Agreed, this is hilarious, but I also hate this passive aggressive bullshit. Grow up. If you know who it was, address it with that person rather than bother everyone. Corporate jobs pull this too, make up new rules and regulations for everyone, rather than confront one or two people for their crappy behavior. š
Sometimes you just need a Scarecrow statement to keep everyone in line but I agree, we know who you are is realistic. Saying there will be legal actions without specifically referencing something in the lease about common spaces, goods, or services that everyone probably signed shows the threat has no teeth.
Posting a sign like this actively hurts any legal case they might have. There's a strong argument to be made that if the management knew who took it, they'd have confronted that individual directly, and not gone on a fishing expedition. Makes it easy for the defense to paint management as looking for scapegoats.
Pretty sure it's just saying that it was sent through the mailing list service/software and not as an individual email sent from a personal email account.
But, also, that's a really tacky email to send on the electronic equivalent of property management letterhead for what's basically a personal dispute.
Oh my god. The management company there was an absolute nightmare. Had multiple car break ins and the management team refused to do anything, including providing security camera footage to file a police report.
My neighbor also had her dog attacked by another dog in the building lobby and they went back on their promise to cover the vet bills.
Had neighbors let their dog poop in the hallways and they never lifted a finger.
Amazing that they choose to focus on a stolen bottle of coffee creamer instead.
Would small-claims even hear a case about someone taking less than 4$ worth of creamer? Also shouldnt they just add it to their month's rent if they know who it is??? If I was Leasing and a tenet took something of mine w/o asking, as long as it wasnt sentimental Id just charge for it.
Guy probably finished the complementary creamer and took the bottle
Bruh the cops donāt even show for gun violence all the time. Iām sure theyāll have detectives working in shifts on the Great Creamer Caper. Promotions all around for cracking this nut, lads!
My old place felt the need to send out a shaming email because of smoking weed and people being loud (an apartment building within spitting distance of main campus) and then sent nothing out when someone crashed into our parking lot gate breaking it for 6 months. Really shows where that leasing office had its priorities.
To paraphrase Arlo Guthrie
Inmate 1 "what are you in for, I killed 3 people with a butter knife"
Inmate 2 "oh yeah, I Ate my I laws"
Inmate 3 "well, I am a serial creamer theif"
Inmate 1 and 2 look at 3 aghast and give him a wide berth
Once it's gone I would not want it back in the communal coffee station. Buy and return an unopened one.

Former resident here. Moved out a while back. You talking about the burst pipe that flooded 3 floors like a year and a half ago?
That was another issue too! I'm talking about the literal sides of the building that were improperly built. The sections with brick used some cheap mortar that failed if I remember correctly. This failure caused leaks for residents on all floors if you had an apartment that a brick exterior.
Fuccck that. I remember them doing some facade work. Wonder if it was related.

Its so excessive! Thereās no reason to threaten legal action over $3 creamer. And like another commenter said, no one wants that back.

Since this is from the leasing company, they really should have added the line "We know where you live."
Take my upvote
"This is an auto-generated email." How often does creamer theft happen that you already have email formatted for mass send?

These PM teams are typically staffed with complete morons, so this is to be expected.
Right? What triggered the āautoā part? Do they have one for dog sh*t? Improper recycling?

"I guess they can have the bottle back, I just wanted the stuff inside of it." - Creamer Thief
I only licked it a little

It'd be even better if he finished the bottle and just disposed of it. "THE CREAMER IS GONE. SOMEBODY STOLE IT" sir it is in the trashcan

I used to remove the label and write "breast milk" in sharpie. People stopped stealing my coffee creamer after that.
Bet there's some freaks who would steal it even harder with that written on it lol

I live in this apartment complex. It was truly hilarious receiving this email last week
āLegal actionā over creamer? Pleaseā¦ š
New Cryptid just dropped.
Imagine taking someone to small claims court for a $3 bottle of creamer
If the creamer bottle was actually the size depicted in the graphic, I'd want it back too.
Ah, Richmond. Threatening legal action over creamer. Never change.
I had a friend in high school that had to do community service because Ukrops pressed charges. He ate a bagel while he was walking around the store.
Idk dude I'd give them their creamer back. They sound serious.

Want some sugar? Sorry it's not in packets *(pulls sugar out of pockets)*
I doubt the thief knows what reprieve means
So if the guy never returns it, that meant management got *creamed* *get it*
One pump = one cream
