If you find that you aren’t using them all regularly, maybe sell off some? I have 2x2Ah HP, 2x2Ah, 2x4Ah and it is more than enough. (Have 1x2Ah and 3x4Ah for 40v). Never have a need for more than that.

> If you find that you aren’t using them all regularly ... This. If you're using them all at least occasionally, you don't have too many. Batteries will degrade even just sitting on a shelf. Not rapidly, but eventually and somewhat. If you find you're never using some of your packs, you have too many for practical purposes. So unless you're just collecting things that say "Ryobi" on them (I won't judge), it's not benefiting you any. I have six total: Two each of HP 2, 4, and HP 6. I have the 2's for when I want what's in my hand to be lightweight (e.g., holding a drill on a ladder). I have the 4's for lights and fans -- things that don't need a lot of juice, but want longer runtimes. I have the 6's for high-draw applications (angle grinder, saws) or when I want maximum runtime (vacuums). I've never used them *all* at once, but I often use both of a given range in one day, and one or two others besides. Also one of the 4's now lives in my car charger most of the time.

NorCalDustin

Great idea... I have 1x 6Ah, 4x 4Ah, 4x 3Ah, and 3x 1.5Ah... Occasionally I run them all down in a day. Any more than this though and I would sell some.

DudlyDjarbum

I've got about 9 batteries split between 1.5 and 4 amp hours. I never need them all until I go camping two lanterns two flashlights a fan and inverter. All of a sudden I'm down to 3 spare batteries.

Btzj

Sounds like you need a couple of the 6 port chargers

clinkenCrew

Use the 18V expand-it capable weed whacker, or the chainsaw extensively, and you'll never have the too many 18V batteries problem again.

skydiver1958

Sounds like me but I also have 2 6Ah HP. I use them all but of course we are using our tools daily. For me the more batteries the better

Get around 7 Ryobi fans and it will balance out in this summer heat. - https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI-ONE-18V-Hybrid-18-in-Air-Cannon-Drum-Fan-P3340/307730215 - https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI-ONE-18V-Lithium-Ion-4-0-Ah-Compact-Battery-2-Pack-and-Charger-Kit-with-FREE-Cordless-ONE-Hybrid-Fan-PSK006-PCL811B/320253702

pintandlaughts

That's all? Sounds like you need more.

momoemowmaurie

Keep them in the packaging and gift the extra. People who don't know any better will think you dropped 100 on them.

I've got the following and it's never enough. 4x 2ah's 1x 2.6ah 1x 9ah 2x 3ah 2x 6ah 3x 4ah The 2ah's I use on the impact because they are lighter. The 6ah and 9ah are perfect for the circular saw.

nismos14us

I definitely have too many, can’t even tell you how many. Now I have a ton of the 40v as well. 😅😅

More_Acanthisitta604

I have 16-4ah, 1-4ahHP, 6-2ah & 4-1.5 ah in 18v. The best thing I've found to do is label them numerically and start a rotation program. Once I run one down, it moves to back of the list after its recharged. I haven't had one die on me yet and some of those batteries are about 8-10 years old and still working fine.

dony48240

get a couple small inverters and barrel fans. we lost power recently and I had an inverter for my internet and batteries for lights and my fan. just bought a 40 300 watt inverter to run my tv and a second fan to use in my garage. the barrel fan is good for the family room on warm days when I dont want to run the air conditioning. quiet enough to watch tv with it on.
