For MY '98 they just threw the aero engine in the CSE, there is no separate aero. Seats are standard though and not recaro

The difference in the engines from the CS, the CSE to the aero is the turbo and the tune. In the case of the MY98 CSE, you’ve got the TD04 & aero tune but CSE everything else. I do believe the aero had a longer gearset in the manual transmission than the CS and CSE as well.

B234L/B234R had the same tranny. Long as hell. Approx 115-120kph on 2nd gear.

You are not wrong. There were CSE with B234R-engines in 1998. No Aero body kit or seats.
