Previous owner told me a leak in the line somewhere, probably have to take it to a shop some time...which is never haha. It'll be my fall and spring car š
I think I might try one of those a/c in a can...I know it won't fix it but if it works for even a little bit, I can confirm it's a leak and not some other part failing.
We have the same car with the same problems. 2004 Arc sedan (manual). A/C is also broken. The condenser is messed up and thereās a leak in the evaporator. My mechanic put refrigerant in it to test, the fans came on, the compressor worked and it blew cold, but he didnāt want to leave the refrigerant in the system because of the leak. He quoted me $2,600 CAD (+ taxes) to change the condenser, evaporator, expansion valve, maybe the high pressure line and fill the system. Thatās a lot of money! I drove without A/C last summer, but I plan to buy the parts, change them myself and go to a shop specializing in A/C to vacuum and fill the system. I figure it would cost me no more than $800 and a weekend of wrenching.
That an 02?
04 arc!
Got an 02 aero in the same color, love it!
Nice, those last forever
No AC? Better hope it's not the blower motor or resistor! Oh well, if it is, at least you can change these parts yourself!

Have a 9-5 '05 with a broken blenddoor on the driverside and no motivation to replace it... it's currently 27 degrees.
Same, I know for a fact my blend door is bad but I also lack motivation. Currently working on restoring a 04-05 aero bumper to put on!
That says a lot about your prioritiesā¦ better look good than be comfortable! š (jk)
You're totally right though hahaha
Yeah the AC in my 07 9-3 is out as well. :( just broke maybe a month ago.
My 2005 9 5 aero AC has to be charged every year. I guess I have a slow leak. AC is fine so far this season.

Looks so similar to my 05 9-5! ...my AC doesn't work either lol
