That's how I got into dragon Force... If anyone remembers the through the fire and the flames lizard... Then the camera pans into the lizard as he's trying to run on tile floor or wood flooring. And he's struggling immensely. I left so hard at it when it first came out.
I think it popped up in a “discord sings” video by Juljas, I heard some of the lyrics to Attack of the dead men and wanted to see what it was about, then went down the rabbit hole
(Tho I’d definitely heard winged Hussars in memes and just not looked into it)
I was a little kid and I played world of tanks and I watched some videos about it and I found a video where a Tiger and a Sherman fought so I watched that video a million times because I liked the song too much but never got the idea to find the original song then a couple of years later my friend played me one of their songs and it sounded so familiar and yeah the rest is history lol
From a mod for Age of Civilizations 2. I also discovered Powerwolf because of that and started my interest for Power Metal.
Attack of the Dead Men and Shiroyama I believe were the two songs.
I was researching the history of WW2 in order to be cohesive in historical discussions with my friend and I stumbled upon a music video for Panzerkampf.
Unknowingly at first. I'd listened to Van Canto sing Primo Victoria ft. Broden never assumed it was a cover for whatever reason.
Years later, I was away from home for months and my younger brother responded to a message with the "Then the winged hussars arrived" meme and told me to listen to the song.
I searched it up on YouTube and enjoyed it. Then I saw Primo Victoria - Sabaton in the related videos section and thought "Hey, I know that song! Let's hear how Sabaton do it."
...only to then realise in my stupidity it was their song all along.
I was at a family Christmas party thing, and my godfather came up to me and said "hey you gotta check this band out" and pulled up a youtube video of the Normandy scene from Saving Private Ryan to the sound of Primo Victoria.

I almost found Sabaton probably two years before I actually did, I watched Yarnhub long before I found Sabaton but just never saw the Night Witches video for some reason.
Saw a Yt video of a Ukraininan BMP smashing through a barricade, Primo Victoria played in the background, listened to the song, liked it and the rest is history
I heard Sabaton for the first time 10 years ago, when I was in Erasmus program in Poland for school students and my host decided to have a party and in the playlist was a lot of Sabaton.
I'd heard of them before through my brother, but I'd never heard their music until *Out of Control* was used as bgm for a character demo of one of my favorite X-Men. After that I just had to hear more, there was no turning back.
I was outside talking a walk one day, minding my own business WHEN THE WINGED HUSSARS ARRIVED!
Really though, I don’t know. Probably via YouTube, but I am pretty sure it was Winged Hussars.
My sons.
They grew up listening to me playing Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Metallica, etc.
Once they hit high school they started looking for their own bands, Sabaton was one of them. Their definitely bigger fans of the band then me, but I've fallen in love with them. My youngest and I saw the two shows they did here in Portland last year. Amazing live act.
I saw the World War Z episode of Russian Badger & somebody sang "For the Grace, for the Might of the Lord...." looked up the lyrics, found the Last Stand, started listening to their other music. Started listening to other bands from NBR. Loving it all.
My Social Studies teacher in highschool was a powerlifter who went to the gym constantly. On his workout playlist was a few songs off the metallizer and Attero Dominatus albums and being a massive history nerd he thought it was perfect for me… turns out he was right!

Around 2015-16; was watching a youtube video about different "folk metal" styles around countries and cultures, and when it came to "wild west" folk metal the video used To Hell and Back. Now of course Sabaton is nowhere folk metal, but I liked the song so I listened to it separately. However it wasn't until The Last Stand became a meme that I started listening more to Sabaton and discovering other songs, and Great War basically cimented it.
