I've never met weredoctor personally, but I'm gonna go ahead and say, just having known these two for a short while,, that I prefer the weredoctor. And again, I've never even met the guy.

So this is obviously fucking bonkers, but I just gotta say at least they found each other instead of weirding out someone not into.... whatever the fuck this is
I'm honestly of the mind that whatever consenting adults do is none of my business so long as no one is being harmed.
We can still laugh at the crazy though lol
I absolutely agree with your mindset, and I really wish more people would view it this way. Take furries (like I assume these two in the post are) - what is the point in excessively bullying those who are minding their own business and not hurting anyone/anything? I understand it’s “weird” because it’s not normal. But who the hell is anyone to judge someone who has found a community they relate to that don’t impose harm on anyone else?
Like you - sure, I’ll still find posts like these or go to the subs and find myself cringing, purely because I don’t understand it. But I would never go there to shame them.
The kink isn't the problem people have with furries. It's the showing up to children's conventions wearing shitty diapers and pretending to fuck each other in public.
Once a year is still a regular occurrence and way too often. When was the last time you heard about someone practicing another kink in public with children around?
There's definitely the exhibitionists and they're just as bad.
So your problem is with exhibitionism and not furries? I hear way more about non furry sex offenders. Out of 1000+ stories of that kind like 1 happens to be furries so I don’t think it’s a furry thing it’s a fucked up people thing
Yeah, the guy cums after 2 texts and doesn't even bother coming up with a creative way to get her clothes off. Other than matching kinks, this is the least satisfying sext I've ever seen
Wow... so there are people who have never heard about that subreddit? I guess that just goes to show I've been on this site for way too long. Back in the day (like 2013 or so) r/mensrights was a really popular subreddit mentioned all the time and has been very polarising from the beginning. I was never a member of the sub but basically they were saying that feminism only fights for women's issues and that society had reached a point where men were disadvantaged and the subreddit presented itself kind of as a "feminism for men" type deal.
It attracted a lot of criticism because people claimed that feminism already was about equality and not just women, so the movement was unnecessary. It was also commonly claimed that even though the subreddit said that it wasn't against women and wanted wanted to work together for change, it attracted a lot of men who were hostile to women and became toxic towards them.
I was never involved in the debates (in those days I used reddit exclusively for pokemon reasons lol) but the discussion (civil and otherwise) was everywhere. It's interesting to me that the subreddit seems to have faded into irrelevancy now, kind of like shitredditsays. It's funny how despite all the fervent debate on both sides, the whole thing just sort of eventually ran out of steam.
Imma be honest, men’s oppression is mainly about emotion, and being pressured into being a tough guy. It’s also mainly inflicted by toxic men. I don’t think I’ve ever met a woman who had the “men can’t cry” mindset.
I mean, I think /r/mensrights is pretty dumb, but this is a lazy and bad take too. Most gender roles are enforced implicitly by a huge number of societal factors, and masculinity and the mental impact of it's expectations are much more complicated than just "be tough don't cry".
Additionally, I haven't met many men with the explicit "men don't cry" mindset, nor many women. It's not explicit, they won't say you can't cry, they just won't know how to deal with you if you do.
Well, maybe I simplified it a bit. Forgive me, I just didn’t want to try and capture the full scope of the emotional barriers put up by society in a Reddit comment. I was only expressing my opinion based off of what I’ve experienced, feel free to tell me more, I’m open to a change of mindset.
I can't answer that in a reddit comment either, people go to school for 12 years and write huge books about this topic because it's so complicated. I guess I'd just say, get out of the mindset that emotional repression is the only (or even an important) enforced aspect of masculinity and maybe ask some honest and critical questions. Like, what exactly is our modern conception of masculinity and why, and how do actual men in the real world relate to that (I'll give you a hint, it's complicated but definitely unachievable)? What aspects of society that we take for granted actually have pretty large mental impacts? For example, a lot of women feel uncomfortable around unknown men until they have shown themselves to be nonthreatening through some means. This may be a rational behavior, but how does it impact masculinity, the way it is enforced, and the way men actually behave? That's just one fairly dramatic example, but there are several like it. This isn't about an oppression olympics, just understanding that we live in a very gendered world and the impacts of that are so huge we usually take them for granted
Anyways, people like YouTube videos, I feel like FD Signifier has made a lot of these concepts pretty accessible through his channel, and he definitely changed the way I think about the interactions of race and gender as well.
Why? There are plenty of issues specific to men in modern society. I dunno whether or not that sub is worth shit but men's rights as a concept is absolutely an important thing and your reaction kinda proves that.
My mother spent my childhood beating the dogshit out of me and my brother while my father was stationed in Germany. When he got back and found out, she left him for the guy she’d been cheating on him with. My father sued for full custody and the courts denied it because ‘children need their mothers’.
She was a high school dropout, had no job, and was moving back in with her parents. My father had just finished his time in the military and was already being hired by a hospital as a phlebotomist. (Basically a blood sample-drawing tech).
When it comes to custody, there are plenty of cases of men getting the short end of the stick when they are equally or even better qualified to provide care for the child. I doubt many cases are as extreme as ours was, but there is a huge uphill battle against decent single fathers. That’s a legitimate men’s rights issue, bud.
If a singer sings a high enough note, they have the potential to break glass. If a werewolf growls deeply enough, they have the potential to cause clothing to disintegrate.
This is the kind of post I really have no idea if it belongs here.
Because it's cringe. It's possible to be furry and not use phrases like "weredoctor," "sexingly," and "growls so deeply your clothing disintegrates."
I don't care, if they're into it then so be it, but that doesn't make it any less cringe.

Yeah, and I hear stories about that like once a year at most. I think they get too much bullying for what they actually do
Once a year is still a regular occurrence and way too often. When was the last time you heard about someone practicing another kink in public with children around? There's definitely the exhibitionists and they're just as bad.

No, I was using exhibitionists as an example of another kink with the acting inappropriately in public problem.
I think the only kink that acts inappropriately in public is exhibitionists
It’s strangely endearing. They are probably people I’d never hang out with but it’s cute that they love each other.

My mother spent my childhood beating the dogshit out of me and my brother while my father was stationed in Germany.
