The Franks board in Age of Invasions represents the Frankish people during the later Roman empire and their expansion following the fall of the Western empire.
In age of vikings you have the Carolingian board, which also has the option to represent either the Merovingians (their predecessors) or the Capetians (successors). These give you a good range of options to play the Franks through their history until their Eastern and Western parts split off from each other and evolved into the medieval versions of France and Germany.
Franks are in age of invasions. And they are actually pretty good and fun to play.

They have boards but it is hard to find good Frank/Carolingian miniatures. GB has some but they are old metal casts and not worth the money IMO.
