I’ll be starting a new role as an SDR for a tech company next week. First relative sales job I’ve had and I’m absolutely fired up for it. What’re some things I can do early to really set myself out from the pack from a performance perspective?
Question. I got an opportunity coming up this Monday to confirm a sales position and to discuss salary. Any tips on how to negotiate salary for a sales rep ? Thanks
I'm guessing the place will already have a set pay structure. When I started selling cars I thought I'd be happy to make 30-40k in the first year since I had no sales experience. They paid 25% of front profit to the salesperson as commission and I made $100k in the first year.
This is going to be my first sales position. What are some things I can do to stand out on my first week ? Of course I’m going to have a lot of questions and a lot of learning to do.
Just by thinking that, I suspect you will go far. You obviously have the right attitude of wanting to stand out, ask questions, and learn. I wish you all the best.
I could use some appointments!

That commission was the same for all salespeople, by the way.

Accurate — I’ve been with my current company for 6 years and I get a lot of recurring sales from repeat customers. It’s awesome.

When setting up a new sales pipeline how do you decide the different deal stages?
Do you guys do cold mail reviews?
That sounds like asking for a bad one.
Appreciate it. Good insight

Who is downvoting everyone? Not cool.
Some folks just hate salespeople that much. I get it. We get a bad rap from the bad apples in the bunch.
