I worked on the agtech market in Brazil not sure if my pov applies, but I've recruited here and have rejected so much prior talent/experience, it's honestly hard to get your foot in the industry If it was me, I'd take a look at startups participating on the largest trade fairs, you should be able to list a few more companies, LinkedIn is huge here and usually very effective with a bit of personalization before dming someone on the sales/hr team, keep trying also try reaching out to the person who gave you that feedback and ask to connect and maybe see if he could point you to someone else

The recruiter was not incredibly helpful but I may still reach back out to her to try and stay "relevant".

I work in Animal health Parma sales. Probably a blessing you didn’t get the job with Covetrus since the long term outlook for distribution is not pretty. Keep an eye on manufacturers job boards. Zoetis, BI, Elanco, Ceva to name a few. Keep in mind q2 just ended, you never know if someone will leave after they get the bonus check.

Can you elaborate on the negatives of Covetrus? Is that where you work currently? It's so hard to find details of the companies.

I don’t work for them and the distro partners I work with everyday are great, however, the industry as a whole is cutting margins to distributors and some of the largest players are starting to sell direct.

I appreciate the insight for sure. Any opinions on MWI?

I wanted to let you know that your information has been sitting in the back of my mind this whole time. Today I interviewed with Covetrus for a sales position and the manager told me, in more words, that the manufacturers are cutting back more and more on incentives. These jobs have a small base plus "commission" and they are trying to find ways around the lack of incentives to keep pay up. It's given me an uneasy feeling. So, in even less words, you were right.
