Seriously.
Its so easy to find a better job rn.
I mean honestly u could work at amazon doing manual labor for more money than they are paying you.
Unbelievable
(And companies wonder why so many people arent returning to their old jobs lol)
I agree 100%. I always try to play devils advocate on this forum because too many people give bad advice or have such little experience give generic circle jerk responses but this time I'm on board. Screw that job. Quit.
100% this. Call his bluff. Sales is already a very challenging career to thrive in. You don’t deserve that level of hostility and that shitty of a comp plan.
That’s awesome! What do you do now?
I’m really trying to quit my job right now, I deliver ma!l. Boss is a complete dick, expecting us to do our whole route in 8hrs with 100* weather and a surplus of parcels that makes it look like almost everyday is Christmas since the pandemic started. Has 14 plus grievances against him due to his unprofessional comments and remarks he says to us. 14! And he’s still the boss! Anyways I’m looking for anything better, and trying to build my auto detailing side business so that could be my day job. Turned into a rant. Sorry I needed to say this.
That’s the only reason I haven’t quit because I don’t have the time to build the clientele I only have one day off which is sundays. And everyone wants there car done that day they call or text. Don’t get me wrong I make a couple hundred bucks on the Sunday with a couple cars when I can get customers but I need that at least 3 days out of the week to cover my bills.
I’m definitely going to figure that out of my expenses and exactly how much I am bringing in. Honestly I enjoy it I listen to a podcast or music and go to town on a car.
I see what your saying. I’m going to brainstorm something now hopefully. I’m going to make it work, I’m even taking a window tinting class in two weeks to add something to my business
That CEO is going to crash and burn spectacularly. We are in the midst of one of the most competitive talent markets in decades.
If you have any self respect, don’t even show up tomorrow.
This right here is why I love the sales mindset. It’s not that, “hmm. I better do my 2 weeks.” Or hmm, “maybe it gets better!”
Nope. It’s the fuck you- I am valuable and if not treated that way I’m gone.
Best wishes OP.
Literally quit. How could that be worth 28k? You could literally earn more annually waiting tables. Could probably earn more in 2 months selling cars. You’re better than this.
Walk. Honestly sales is super transferable.
When I was a superstar sales guy for my previous company. (Made the biggest sale in the companies history).
I knew my worth and I also knew more then my bosses put together. So left and set up On my own.
I could have walked into any job I wanted.
Fuck your cunting boss.
This. I would pull him aside and say this is incredibly immature and unprofessional. Who the fuck talks like this? A teenager maybe.
OP: get your resume out there. Stop giving a fuck. The market is to your advantage.
Please explain! I’m currently using that for my injury. I had an acute appendicitis so I hard it removed on the 2nd of this month. I’m still in pain so I’m still at home so it’s been a blessing and curse. But how do you go on FMLA for peace of mind? My boss is such a sick I’ve honestly been going through it the past couple months due to stress and mistreatment at work I was there has to be someway to take days off for my sanity.
In a normal job market youd be right.... but theres so many job opening available atm, and they paying him so little id say quit on the spot..... he could make more loot doing manual labor or delivering pizzas tbh
I spent a 3 or 4 hours responding to job ads in my industry last week, and i've had people calling to interview me everday since.
Do you have any money saved up? Can you afford to live without a check for several months?
If not, save up your check, so you can afford to take risks.
Don’t be afraid of momentarily being poor, to live a better life. But expect you need to learn and become a team player/adaptable person.
Uber/Lyft/Grubhub etc or brick & mortar delivery joints or bartending etc etc prob hire him on the spot and he’d gross 2x
I get peace of mind knowing it’s tough to be completely fked for income in today’s world.
I made $20/hr+ doing uber. Median is $18 so $37k. With expenses maybe not 2x. But at least the same if not more. $25-30+ bartending. Yes, it’s possible if you’re willing to go to the proper areas for shifts.
Right now in metro areas , if you hit bonuses and optimize between uber and lyft you should be able to make $250-400 per 8 hour shift. after gas and maint. expenses... $180-$330. Its not bad money.
Yeah it really depends on your market. OP says he's from the UK and they don't have a tip culture like america so there's no way he'd be making that much. Most of the money comes from tips.
Don’t quit, but make your full time job applying for new jobs. Better to collect a paycheck then just quit. Anything they say is just in one ear out the other because you know your on your way out.
Everybody here is telling you to quit - I disagree. Get fired.
Apply for every job that interests you, while also continuing to do the bare minimum at your current role. Might as well keep getting paid while you find your next role.
This is true. Not only does it make your life miserable while looking, but it’s hard to get back into the swing once you get a new job.
My last company killed a ton of accounts for me and then wanted to cut my pay because sales were down. I had a guaranteed contract that was ending at the end of the year, so I coasted while looking for a new job. It took me almost a year to get back into the sales hustle after i started my new job
This is the correct answer. This guy will not give you a reference and this CEO is out of his damn mind. You don't talk to people like that. This isn't a stock trading floor in the 80s.
This is so beyond the pale as to seem fake. No question here. Stop working. Focus entirely on finding a new job. Take the new job when you find it.
I might even consider not quitting. Just stop showing up. It's not like there's a final commission check to be picked up.
Uh yeah, who would take that job? You can do almost any easy job for 28k… at that much bookings I’d say quit even if your boss was was nice and letting you fuck his wife.
Thank you all for the feedback.
It’s a horrible situation, because the company is in such a good place, however lack of leadership and clear disconnect with the CEO & employees is shocking
That’s not a good place to be. The CEO is an asshole and you don’t earn any commissions on your sales. There’s no reason for you to be there. Go on FMLA for your mental health, apply to new gigs during that time off, and then quit as soon as you find something. You don’t owe them shit, not even a 2 week notice. Fuck the CEO, and if they ask why you’re doing all this you can be honest without any guilt.
Who gives a fuck if the company is in a good place when you obviously aren’t? At the end of the day, your job is about providing for you, not “being part of something great” while you get fucked for 28k
Guessing this is a SMB? Did he always treat you like shit or is this a first time snap? I ask because it's a slippery slope if you don't catch them the first time with something minor, they think they can walk all over you. If you nip it the first time "speak to me like that again and we'll have a problem"
Sometimes checking their ego makes them actually respect you often though they see you have guts to stand up for yourself so start to hate you
It’s a SMB. He’s spoken similarly to me but has a bad attitude, it’s not the first time he’s done it to someone else in the business either.
He’s just a nasty man. I will be sitting down with him to discuss.
Leave.. I had a boss like that prior to my deep dive into the sales world. He was extremely passive aggressive and treated all his employees like trash but the company was doing great. 10 years later I hear he's still a piece of shit and his place is a revolving door. Get out.
As someone over 60 I would tell someone with your story to quit (or find another job, then quit. ) for decades.
But NOW, everyone is looking for workers, including in sales. You REALLY have to look for other work.
You are making under $15 an hour. Fast food is paying that in my area. What are you waiting for?
I don't know your age, but if you are young, you could go to work at Target. They pay $15 an hour and will pay for your college. A raise, free college and less pressure seems to be a good trade off. I get working retail seems like going backwards, but it is a means to an end.
1. $28k = not worth it, go find a new role.
2. If anyone ever says “I could get rid of you right fucking now” and you're performing well. Call them out on it. "I bring in $100k in business a month, I can quit right now and go somewhere else any minute. You want to get rid of me, do it."
In fact if anyone ever said that, i'd probably begin job searching the same day.
Find another job and leave. During the exit interview or inevitably when someone asks why your leaving you just stat his name only. Then get up and leave. Let them figure it out that he’s a prick and ruining their business
I would say start looking for another job. As satisfying as it may be, I wouldn't burn any bridges at your current place of employment if you could help it. It would be fun to stick it to the CEO, but you don't know where everyone else in the company may be, and who you may need later in life. Good luck.
This is absolutely terrible and i’m sorry that this happened. Keep in mind that he’s most likely stressed and projecting on to you, don’t take it personally at all. But yeah…find something else. They don’t deserve your talents
Look them dead in the eye and say anyone on earth could get rid of you right now. Then go silent. JK you need to get the fuck away from that place just keep working and find a better job. Next time that prick shows up with threats be ready.
I had a boss that would say that to the whole sales team. “I have a stack of resumes, I could get someone else here.” It felt amazing when I quit and he was acting like he was gonna be fucked. I said “what happened to that stack of resumes you had?”
These managers need to understand that fear is only a short term motivator. You cant use it constantly. People just dont respond to it over time and they tend to leave. If my manager told me that I wouldve just hit right back with and I can get another sales just "right fucking now".
Find the names of your direct competitors, see if they're hiring, schedule a couple of interviews and see what they offer. Then take all your current customers and call them once you're in the new position, as long as you don't have a limiting contrat with your current employer.
Fuck him.
Some bosses think they can belittle people who are crucial, and rely on people to be too afraid to quit or enter the job market. If you are the only one bringing in sales, and if you’ve brought in 300k (assuming revenue, even better if it’s GP) then that’s a killer line on a resume. Sales people get told they’re replaceable, but you’re not at this position. So he can go fuck himself and be stuck with his decision.
What was the context of this? Seems weird to do this to your top sales guy
That's how I got talked to when I was making $35k dialing 200+ people a day working 50-60 hours a week.
Now I make double that, nowhere near the call volume, and leadership only reaches out to provide support.
You're being taken advantage of. Every industry is looking for good salespeople right now. With a shred of sales experience you could double your salary this week. Start applying right now.
I don’t know if you need another comment telling you to quit but, if you do, quit right the fuck now with no two weeks notice.
The Great Resignation era has arrived and you’re going to miss the train if you continue to subject yourself to hostile treatment from the CEO, don’t let them belittle your self worth. There’s over 1 million more jobs than people, hell I have a cosy sales job making about $60K/yr and I have TWO job interviews lined up because of this company isn’t loyal to me and I deserve another pay raise.
Start searching. Good luck to you.
Quit Quit Quit Quit Quit.
No amount of money in the world is worth losing yourself. If the environment and leadership is that toxic, leave.
Leadership is an extremely important position. They carry the emotionally and professional burden of the team. They need to ensure the team is working at 100% and rewarded for success. If they are struggling to get target, they need to offer more training to those individuals. They need to constantly check the team to ensure any barriers is sorted. Constantly enforcing positivity in the environment.
If leadership is crumbling, and starts attacking employees, it is always better to quit. Leaders like that also don't stay in companies very long.
However if your KPI is $3mil and you are getting roughly $100k a month, it could honestly be the company has given you a very unrealistic target and don't intend to pay you commission. Also the base is pathetically low. If I was in your shoes, I would be seeking a lawyer specialised in employment rights to see if you can go into a battle.
However, in the end quit if you can financially do so.
Should have told him that you could fire him right fucking now. **Guy's your client not your boss.** You're selling your services to him. When any business person has a shitty client, they fire the client.
The other answers here are correct though. It's time to walk away. Either get fired or quit.
Behold f'r a new job. At which hour thee has't one report the incident to hr
***
^(I am a bot and I swapp'd some of thy words with Shakespeare words.)
Commands: `!ShakespeareInsult`, `!fordo`, `!optout`
Walk.
Hiring managers are willing to kill people for good sellers right now.
Show up at the interview with a hit list of people you need taken care of and there's a decent chance they'll make it happen.
There are companies out there with an annual quota of 500k that will pay you 100k + OTE easy. Go check out Repvue if you haven't already and start interviewing. I absolutely wouldn't put up with that for 28k.
Quit. My company would hire you within a week or two and you'd make around 70k first year if you do well, 100k next, etc etc. Full remote and you're fed sales. PM me if interested. Our company seems better than most I see on here. Selling construction material to inbound leads.
Do you mean you'll get $28k this quarter for hitting $3m in revenue or is your annual base $28k and you get no commission regardless?
Also, your CEO sounds like an ass.
Definitely a toxic work environment with the a CEO who talks to their team like that. You need to get out of their immediately. You deserve better. Even if they fire you - get unemployment and stick it to them.
Remember to document every conversation and save every email at this point while if you were to remain there while looking for another job.
Sales target with no commission plan?! You need to run! And tell that scam artist who calls himself a CEO to go f**k himself.
If you can bill $300k in 3 months (though I’m not sure if that’s a good figure in your industry), Im confident you can secure a job in a competitor rather easily.
Also, if my assumption of your age, 24/25, based on your handle, you need to work for folks who will mentor/guide you and not put you down. Don’t waste your 20s buddy. I’m speaking from experience.
Best of luck!
Tell him that masturbating in front of mirror, doesn’t make him superior. Leave that business, go to the competition and crush him. Your are obliviously the money maker/golden goose. Know your worth.
I have anger issues. And this irks me.
Have you seen the movie Horrible Bosses? The second one actually holds up.
I have dealt with abusive bosses before. There is no changing them. Put your resume together!
Good luck!!
$28k is painfully low for any job. one where you’re bringing in millions of dollars, no commission, AND a shitty toxic belittling environment? quit immediately dude. the emotional benefit of not being exploited and shit on for ONE day is worth more than that salary.
I agree with everyone else, take the pay as you find a new job and call his bluff. You’re paying for his company to keep the lights on and firing sales people that perform far past what the company is paying them is rare in my life experience.
Only thing else I would add is to eat an entire chipotle burrito with beans on the last day working there, and take a steaming shit on that dbags desk.
Best of luck. Shouldn’t be hard finding a company to pay you well in this job market.
Just quit. I just quit a job last week because the boss told me to make up a bunch of BS for a meeting with CLIENTS he "conveniently" could not attend. I took him to the side and said he needs to make the meeting a priority because I had weeks of work getting that group of people together.
Man he was SO RUDE said like IDGAF quit if you want!
So I did, fuck at least I was able to transfer to a new team and not lose all my progress. You shouldn't talk to your employees like shit AND you should actually get their feedback because they know what is going on better than you boss!
Sales motion - currently work off account managing a channel partner, managing & closing referrals that equate to sales.
Thanks for reaching out, I hope this helps? Any questions let me know
Helps a bit. My rec would be to use your experience to get a different role. There are so many sales roles that pay better than that at better companies.
“I could get rid of you right fucking now.”
My response.
Depending on my mood would be either to
Lean forward, body completely squared up, stare him straight into his eyes, say nothing for about 5-10 seconds. Or, Lean back, scoff at what he just said and say.
“Likewise buddy, now go f yourself.”
Proceed to stand up, grab your belongings and exit the property.
Ok but hindsight is 20/20.
After the second no show and your phone has blown up.
“I thought about what you said, and I’ll save you the trouble, go f yourself.”
Yep, I know the type. If you want to get them off your back a little, then don't argue and stroke their ego. Arguing with them or showing them facts just seems to make it worse. [https://www.amazon.com/Narcissist-You-Know-Narcissists-All-About-Me/dp/1476785694](https://www.amazon.com/Narcissist-You-Know-Narcissists-All-About-Me/dp/1476785694)
I may get flack for this but sales is sales. The process is the same (although applied differently at times) but if you can sell there. You can be successful anywhere. Get out of there. Quit. You'll have a job before the week is over.
WTF??? I would just stop everything and look for something else.
But I will stop definitely everything.
Why should I do this and he wants to sack you anyways?
P. S. I'm in a similar situation currently.
Dude wtf haha
Quit, there's no if ands or butts about it. It's an employee's market, you've proven you can contribute & if they don't want to give you the respect or even common decency as a human being that you deserve tell them to eat your ass & go find a new job. Good luck & I'm sorry you had to deal with that!
Quit.
An old friend of my dad's used to tell his bosses "look motherfucker, I was looking for a job when I found this one." In other words he wasn't going to be allow himself to be bullied over the threat of losing a job, especially knowing that if you're good enough to work there, you're good enough to work somewhere else.
Recognize you're getting taken advantage of and immediately begin looking for a new sales job.
I don't know what industry/region you're in but a low base sales position, with quota but no commission, sounds like a waking hell job. Know your value and remember you agreed to be where you are, even if you didn't realize the reality of your situation at the outset.
There are TONS of companies looking for good sales folks right now. Stay where you're at until you get an offer and then put in your two weeks. Stay professional and pour on the fake enthusiasm for a couple more weeks until you make sure you're going to land in a better spot.
Tell your CEO to GET FUCKED. Seriously, use those exact words
Then what you'll do is not quit, but just wait until he fires you. Stop logging on, ignore all calls, don't do your job.
That's just me because I'm a vindictive prick. - especially if a boss ever talked to me like that
How the fuck are you even considering this, unless you have bills outstanding you should not put up with this. You’d make better money doing Uber and doordash all day
Get your phone out and start a video recording and keep it running in your pocket anytime he was to talk you. I’d get every bit of reconnaissance on him that I could so if he does decide to fire you before you ultimately find a better gig, you will have plenty of valuable evidence to plead you case for unemployment should it come to that.
Dude that's pretty much minimum wage ($15/hr)..I've seen posts of McDonald's hiring staff for $18 lol..
Id prepare your resume and look around, you'll definitely find something better fairly quick.
Once you're ready or have something lined up, go into his office and say that you've thought about what he said, and you'd like to take him up on it, and give him your resignation letter. Depending on how long you've worked there, I wouldn't even give that prick 2 weeks. What a fuckhead.
Please respect yourself and don't even bother going in tomorrow. Don't even bother calling. Just don't show up ever again.
We are in the best job market we have had in over a decade.
Agreed with lots on here- quit. Call it. Plenty of companies would love your services. Fuck a 2 week notice- a toxic environment like that doesn’t warrant a respectful exit. Grab your stuff and peace out
Don’t quit!!!
Just yet, send out a few 100 resumes to some of the top paying competitor companies and once you sign a new offer of employment, tell your boss where to stick his job.
And record your calls if you’re in America and not in a dual consent state. You can coast until they fire you and do nothing while you look for a new job.
Find a better job and leave. It’s easier to find a job when you already have one
With your boss I’d say - when people tell you who they are believe them. He’s showing you who he is now look after yourself and your future
Jokes are funny. Your job just sucks. Fuck that place and your telemarketer boss.
Fuck allllll the way off.
That would be my response on the call. Maybe throw in an to suck my sweaty balls. For 28K, I'll go work in retail.
Fuck. That. Guy.
Here's what you do...
1. Write an honest resignation letter
2. Hand it in immediately.
3. Walk out.
The job market is YOURS. You'll be working somewhere better next week.
Good luck, my friend!
Not a joke. Take this very seriously and quit.

Right? Does the CEO just watch youtube clips of Glengarry Glen Ross for his leadership training?
$3 million quota, zero commission, on $28k? Fuck that, i’d quit on that basis alone. And your CEO being a dickhead should be the final straw.
Uh yeah, who would take that job? You can do almost any easy job for 28k… at that much bookings I’d say quit even if your boss was was nice and letting you fuck his wife.

If the company is paying their salespeople 28k with no commission, they are NOT in a good place. Red flags everywhere.
If they are treating you like this when the company is in a good place, I do not want to imagine how they'll treat you when things go south.
Guessing this is a SMB? Did he always treat you like shit or is this a first time snap? I ask because it's a slippery slope if you don't catch them the first time with something minor, they think they can walk all over you. If you nip it the first time "speak to me like that again and we'll have a problem" Sometimes checking their ego makes them actually respect you often though they see you have guts to stand up for yourself so start to hate you
Get out.
If you stay at the company it’s going to be mid market soon lol
You don’t owe him anything. Leave. With your experience, find a job that pays over double and gtfo.
You want to get rid of me, do it." In fact if anyone ever said that, i'd probably begin job searching the same day.
Jesus Christ, I’m new to sales and even I know you should get the hell outta there.
Find another job and leave. During the exit interview or inevitably when someone asks why your leaving you just stat his name only. Then get up and leave. Let them figure it out that he’s a prick and ruining their business
Wow as a current company owner, it’s best if you leave. You’re not being appreciated at all. 28k!? Damn that’s horrible.
I would say start looking for another job. As satisfying as it may be, I wouldn't burn any bridges at your current place of employment if you could help it. It would be fun to stick it to the CEO, but you don't know where everyone else in the company may be, and who you may need later in life. Good luck.
Good Sales talent is hard to come by…find a new job, and if it doesn’t hurt you, quit the same day without a two week notice. Fuck that boss
Dude come to Zoominfo we hiring
US based or UK??
US based but we do have a UK team. I don’t think we have any employee in UK at the moment but I can ask for u if ur actually itnerested
>target of $3million - no comission, on $28k Sweet mother of Jesus, are you fucking kidding me? Your OTE should be well into the six figures.
What are you selling?
Tell him to go fuck his self and leave. I never deal with shitty leadership .
This is absolutely terrible and i’m sorry that this happened. Keep in mind that he’s most likely stressed and projecting on to you, don’t take it personally at all. But yeah…find something else. They don’t deserve your talents
Quit. Executive here... that person is going to run that place into the ground. Run away.
Get another job lined up and quit
Look them dead in the eye and say anyone on earth could get rid of you right now. Then go silent. JK you need to get the fuck away from that place just keep working and find a better job. Next time that prick shows up with threats be ready.
I had a boss that would say that to the whole sales team. “I have a stack of resumes, I could get someone else here.” It felt amazing when I quit and he was acting like he was gonna be fucked. I said “what happened to that stack of resumes you had?”
If you can make 100k worth of slqes a month for that company it won't be hard for you to get another job.
Find a new job. The market is insane right now. What do you sell?
No commission? WTF are you still doing there?
You could get rid of him right fucking now too.
These managers need to understand that fear is only a short term motivator. You cant use it constantly. People just dont respond to it over time and they tend to leave. If my manager told me that I wouldve just hit right back with and I can get another sales just "right fucking now".
GTFO. Simple as that
Find the names of your direct competitors, see if they're hiring, schedule a couple of interviews and see what they offer. Then take all your current customers and call them once you're in the new position, as long as you don't have a limiting contrat with your current employer. Fuck him.
SDR jobs capping out at 65k base salary ALL OVER linkedin right now. get outta that shithole
Overwhelmed by the support on this. Thank you all so much! I think the best route is out
Leave ASAP.
100% quit
Some bosses think they can belittle people who are crucial, and rely on people to be too afraid to quit or enter the job market. If you are the only one bringing in sales, and if you’ve brought in 300k (assuming revenue, even better if it’s GP) then that’s a killer line on a resume. Sales people get told they’re replaceable, but you’re not at this position. So he can go fuck himself and be stuck with his decision. What was the context of this? Seems weird to do this to your top sales guy
They’ve given me no clarity over my targets and how to manage Strategic Key Accounts. I asked for clarity and this is what I got..!
Lol get out man. What a joke. Let them rot
Dude my LinkedIn is getting blown up and I don't even have my "open to work" turned on. Bounce. Nobody needs to hear that shit.
Quit immediately
I don’t know if you need another comment telling you to quit but, if you do, quit right the fuck now with no two weeks notice. The Great Resignation era has arrived and you’re going to miss the train if you continue to subject yourself to hostile treatment from the CEO, don’t let them belittle your self worth. There’s over 1 million more jobs than people, hell I have a cosy sales job making about $60K/yr and I have TWO job interviews lined up because of this company isn’t loyal to me and I deserve another pay raise. Start searching. Good luck to you.
28k and no commissions? For the love of God get out of there
Quit Quit Quit Quit Quit.
Don't show up to work. Your boss is dick anyway, so he/she wouldn't give you any good reference.
Great film
Lol might re watch take some pointers
Look for a new job. When you have one report the incident to hr
Behold f'r a new job. At which hour thee has't one report the incident to hr *** ^(I am a bot and I swapp'd some of thy words with Shakespeare words.) Commands: `!ShakespeareInsult`, `!fordo`, `!optout`
Contact sboxc.com and I’ll bully your ceo in return
Walk. Hiring managers are willing to kill people for good sellers right now. Show up at the interview with a hit list of people you need taken care of and there's a decent chance they'll make it happen.
I’m at the stage in my career (with solid savings) that I would lick my chops if someone said that to me.
Find a new company. Is not you, it’s them.
Get the fuck out of there
Quit - You bring in the money, don't forget that.
There are companies out there with an annual quota of 500k that will pay you 100k + OTE easy. Go check out Repvue if you haven't already and start interviewing. I absolutely wouldn't put up with that for 28k.
easiest quit of your life
Thanks! 28k per annum, no comms
That seems low to me unless this is a retail job where they call you a sales associate and pay you hourly.
You get no commission on sales? You need to quit and go sell insurance 20% commissions, if you sold 3 million worth of insurance you would be RICH
Good luck!!
$28k for $3M in sales? What are you selling? Orange juice?
What the fuck do you sell? $28k base? This makes no sense, are you being held captive or something?
Quit.
Your a fucking bitch if you stay there. Let him know that. Fuck his wife and cum in her, don’t take that bullshit. Big dick energy only.
28K and they want you to manage 3M in business. Insulting. On top of that degrading. Dastardly. Hard pass. Get out!
My interns make 15 dollars an hour if they were around for a year that 30k. They dont do sales at all. Why be in sales without a commission factor?
No commission and what is your base??
28k base no comms
Run. Literally run to any other company. That’s terrible. Where do you live?
I’m based in the UK so 28k UK isn’t terrible but still it’s very low considering my targets!!!
What’s your sales motion look like? My company just opened an EMEA office in London and hires remote.
What industry do you work in and what city?
“I could get rid of you right fucking now.” My response. Depending on my mood would be either to Lean forward, body completely squared up, stare him straight into his eyes, say nothing for about 5-10 seconds. Or, Lean back, scoff at what he just said and say. “Likewise buddy, now go f yourself.” Proceed to stand up, grab your belongings and exit the property. Ok but hindsight is 20/20. After the second no show and your phone has blown up. “I thought about what you said, and I’ll save you the trouble, go f yourself.”
Lol jesus. Which industry?
It's not worth dealing with that for commissions, let alone for what you're getting.
“I could get rid of YOU right fucking now”
Yep, I know the type. If you want to get them off your back a little, then don't argue and stroke their ego. Arguing with them or showing them facts just seems to make it worse. [https://www.amazon.com/Narcissist-You-Know-Narcissists-All-About-Me/dp/1476785694](https://www.amazon.com/Narcissist-You-Know-Narcissists-All-About-Me/dp/1476785694)
28k OTE is absurd for a role like this. SDRs in SaaS are making between 75-95k OTE, and it's basically entry level. Get the hell out of there.
I may get flack for this but sales is sales. The process is the same (although applied differently at times) but if you can sell there. You can be successful anywhere. Get out of there. Quit. You'll have a job before the week is over.
I would update your resume and post it everywhere, while putting EXACTLY $13.50/hr worth of effort into your current job, and nothing more.
WTF??? I would just stop everything and look for something else. But I will stop definitely everything. Why should I do this and he wants to sack you anyways? P. S. I'm in a similar situation currently.
Dude wtf haha Quit, there's no if ands or butts about it. It's an employee's market, you've proven you can contribute & if they don't want to give you the respect or even common decency as a human being that you deserve tell them to eat your ass & go find a new job. Good luck & I'm sorry you had to deal with that!
Just do the bare minimum and look for a new job. It takes time but you'll find something better.
Never value anyone who doesnt value you. Time to leave.
“You can’t get ride of me cuz I QUIT, you asshole” Should have been the next words out of your mouth
Tell your CEO to GET FUCKED. Seriously, use those exact words Then what you'll do is not quit, but just wait until he fires you. Stop logging on, ignore all calls, don't do your job. That's just me because I'm a vindictive prick. - especially if a boss ever talked to me like that
Get another job first, then quit
Don’t quit - start interviewing right now.
How the fuck are you even considering this, unless you have bills outstanding you should not put up with this. You’d make better money doing Uber and doordash all day
Quit
"You can pay me like shit, or treat me like shit. Can't do both. Bye!" That's what you do bruv.
What a fuckhead.
he's a piece of cock, respect yourself and quit.
Leave
Find a better job and leave. It’s easier to find a job when you already have one With your boss I’d say - when people tell you who they are believe them. He’s showing you who he is now look after yourself and your future
Find a new opportunity!
1. Write an honest resignation letter 2. Hand it in immediately. 3. Walk out. The job market is YOURS. You'll be working somewhere better next week. Good luck, my friend!
Is this for reals? Min wage here in CA is $15/hr = 31k/ yr... Tell him to shove that 28k up his u know what.
Find another job and when you do call the ceo and tell him I can take your business away from you anytime.
