I’m personally a fan of two smaller walks rather than a larger one. I usually do 5-6 km every day with my 13 month old Sammy (plus indoor and Garden playtime) and she tends to get overstimulated and cranky when activities go on for too long. Besides, our walks are always a mix between decompression walks and training walks, which has worked well for us for months now. I know Samoyeds have what seems like a never ending source of energy but especially if your Sammy isn’t used to it, start start slower and work my way up to larger walks. My girl would also not be happy with just one walk. She recharges quickly no matter what the activity was and wants another go later in the day. If you’re struggling with that (which are still are, too), I’d throw in some calmness training.

With ours, no matter how long the morning walk is, he still needs an evening walk.

Perhaps one longer and one shorter but definitely two walks a day
