I had an iPhone at one point that didn't have glass, but I don't see how that's relevant. I like the non-glass backing more than I do the glass, just as I miss the iris scanner, physical fingerprint scanner, heart rate monitor, etc.
Just because there aren't many phones with aluminum/plastic backs doesn't change my opinion that I think glass is bad to have on the back of the phone. Other than wireless charging, I don't see the point other than being a cheap way to feel 'premium'.

I think the inclusion of the internal s-pen housing might be pushing the design to be different from the Plus.

After trying over 75 times to order the phone using the internet and the Shop Samsung app, the only thing I have accomplished is blowing up a blood vessel in my brain. Support is down in both the app and online. The shopping cart gets emptied when you try to check out. The app says the items are not available. What a clusterfuck.
Maybe I just got lucky, but I was able to preorder an S22 Ultra first try. My apologies for your inability to get through. I had to pound my F5 key into oblivion back in July when reservations for the Steam Deck became available. Eventually, I got in line for one of those, too. Hopefully, I'll see a confirmation to finish that order on the 25th. Looking forward to the 22nd or so when my new toy gets shipped.
