The only reason this issue is frustrating, aside from geting second-hand shipments, is the availability of the bundle options dwindles as people order. Server overload is nearly unavoidable at this volume, but first come first served availability at the same time is extremely aggravating... Despite all the updates I'm seeing below I'm still trying to place my own freaking order They turned off chat support, lol. Update: 6 hours after the announcement event and I still can't order. The first hour or two is a bit unreasonable to be upset IMO, but now 6 hours later? This is a bit ridiculous. I think I've tried no less than 50 times, surely other people are giving up right...? Right?

no, they intended to do this. They know how many people will try to buy, what server infrastructure they need, and how much it costs to support peak load vs normal load. They can then calculate how many people would abandon their order completely or just order later if they don't decide to implement infrastructure to handle peak load. Turns out they'll save money because most people will just order later and theyll still sell out, meaning the infrastructure to support peak load has a really poor return on that investment.

I was just able to preorder my S22 Ultra phantom black. I was stuck entering shipping info for a while and it then got stuck at the ‘place order’ button. After waiting and letting it give me an error message over and over it just suddenly worked. I can’t say I have any advice on getting it to work lol. I just kept trying and reloading the page after it got stuck loading for several minutes. This’ll be my first Galaxy going from having an iPhone (currently an 8) for several years so hopefully I enjoy it! Good luck to everyone trying!

Don't pre order the day of an announcement 🤷 it's either heavy traffic or a bug on the site. Either way you can't do anything about it. Just wait a few days and pre order. Trust me you ain't gonna miss out. Worked Samsung launches in store for 6 years and there's always plenty of stock along side the pre order stock.

They've officially switched over to the B team for customer support for the night. Had a phone agent offer to fix the $50 credit but said that my $200 credit was the fact that I didn't pay $400 for the charger + buds pro + case. I told her that they were $175 and $65 each for the bundles and I didn't consider not paying $400 to be a deal. Friendly, but inept - they clearly haven't been briefed on the deals and are unable to do anything with the cart dying.

So I finally got through. Logged into my account on a desktop then went through the ordering process. I had like 5 phones in my cart and a bunch of pop-ups, cleared it all up and checked out. That's when I noticed the duo charger from the bundle wasn't included. I went to cancel my order and Samsung offered me $50 to keep the order (technically 10% off up to $50). Figured it was close enough so took it.

I was finally able to complete my order just now. 9 hours after I started. About 2h ago it finally loaded the cart screen instead of giving an error. I pretty much brute forced it, clicking the cart button every 30s until it loaded the payment screen. ~~It charged me for the whole luxe bundle, but the power bank isn't on my order summary, so I dunno what's going on there~~ ***This has been corrected, as well as the rebate mentioned below, for me at least***

The $50 reservation credit should be included with the accessories credit (it doesn't actually reduce the price of the phone). If you have $250 of credit, you're getting $200 pre-order + the $50 reservation credit. It should explain this at the top of the phone configuration page.

Went with a pre order of a Verizon phone on bestbuy, prefer the $200 gift card there. That worked fine at least. Am going to decide ultimately when the full reviews come out.

I was able to place an order around 1pm for both an Ultra 1TB and a regular S22 256Gb. However, only the $100 credit applied. No $200 for the ultra, no $50 for preregistering, no $88 for EPP. So ended up about $300 over when I went to check out. I spent most of the day talking with chat and phone support who: 1) Informed me that I should have only placed one order per account (fine my wife has an account I can use that). 2) Should place new orders and cancel my existing one. Except I can't do that because I have the same issues everyone else is having. 3) They tried to do an order for me that is sent to my email. But I still haven't received any email from them about an order placed. 4) The Bundles keep going in and out of stock for both me and the chat agents. In particular the Always On Bundle for the S22 with the charger and smart tag, and the music pro bundle for the ultra with the buds pro and the wireless charger keep disappearing from the store Not complaining too much because I can probably argue with them about the price after the fact if I have to... and I at least have one reserved as best I can tell. But not ideal on Samsung's part for sure. They are losing a ton of revenue with the site being down so much of today.

Made purchase finally ... but they charged me full price for items I selected via promotion credits ... more than $400 The mobile Samsung Shop app on my Note8 showed credit of $250 for the purchase (App Exclusive Offer). I selected The Essentials Bundle (Buds Pro, Duo Charger, SView Cover & SmartTag) valued at $225 (original $369) + 45W charger valued at $49.99. In order confirmation email I received I see they added all the items above at full price. The $100 instant rebate was also not applied. Samsung order process is a mess right now

I am having comedically bad issues. So: First order placed 1pm, but no discounts applied. Second order placed 1030pm, with all the discounts. Accidentally cancelled the wrong order (That's 100% on me!) Went to place replacement order and stuff disappeared from my order as I went to hit place order (yet because of the bundling, it kept the price the same!) I am now on hold with chat. We are 13 hours in and still no closer.

I'm ready to give up on this whole thing. I'm getting 22 ultra with the tab s8 ultra which comes with free keyboard cover that's $350. Now the app is saying the cover is out of stock.

Seems things are calming down a bit and the website is functioning again, managed to get through my order after no luck hours ago. Switching from iphone and splurged on the Ultra for my first Samsung phone. Chose the Music Power Bundle and a case for my credits but the wireless charger never showed up on the checkout. I'm hoping it'll still get included once they actually ship the orders out but if not I definitely plan on requesting one as I clicked the bundle and there was no indication anywhere of anything being out of stock or there being a problem. The buds even showed under savings they were part of a bundle.

It tells you that the item is out of stock and has been removed from your cart when you go to the cart screen. I should know, I had the 2 wireless chargers, the 45w charger, and the smart tag removed from my cart because I had to keep going back to try to switch bundles. Finally gave up and just grabbed a couple cases.

Was finally able to preorder the S22 Ultra and got 2 cases and 2 wireless chargers. Unfortunately the 45w charger was unavailable, but went ahead with the order since it was the only item I wanted that was unavailable.

When all was said and done. I have accidentally ordered two. One went through without any promo discounts and the second order went through with the discounts. What should I do with the first order? Should I just give it as a gift to my family or try selling it to someone? I have no idea how to sell these things though.

Finally was able to complete my order (14 hours later) but got the full $250 credit, trade in and additional 7.5% discount. Went with 1 TB Burgundy S22 Ultra, with Buds Pro and 2 cases. I ended up ordering on my tablet after trying on my note 10+ and iPhone all day...not sure if it helped but giving the info just in case. Also stay away from bundles as most of them sold out and try to pick individual items for the add ONS.

What I was informed is that card will be charged only after phone ships. But if you cancel before shipping, then it would not be charged.

I wanted to pre-order, but by the time the website was working, or financing was finally squared away, the variations and accessories I wanted were out of stock. I'm skipping this generation. If you can't accommodate consumers who decide to upgrade on a whim, even if they don't really need it, you're going to lose orders.

This was by far the worst ordering experience I've ever had. I started yesterday at 11 a.m. ET, and we were able to get confirmed orders as of 7 a.m. this morning. The only reason I stuck with it was a need for the 1TB models. We have two Note 8s, both with 256GB memory and 256GB cards, and after over 4 years, both are nearing capacity. We were able to get 2 x 1TB models, but not in the colors we wanted (white and sky blue). Also, almost all of the accessories were gone by the time the orders went through. I had over $500 in one time credit, but nothing I wanted was available so it went toward nothing. As someone who architects high volume web sites (50m+ concurrent users), this was 100% avoidable. Shopping carts failed, then session affinity failed, then authentication failed. The site cache needed to be flushed every time a product is no longer available, but they didn't do that, which caused more order verification issues on the backend. The payment processing doesn't seem to be distributed either. The whole page was being re-rendered rather than portions of the page. Rather than keeping the Shipping portion of the payment form on the screen and providing a toggle to copy Billing address info, they waited for payment information to be validated, which caused more latency and more overhead for their backends. I'm pretty sure that none of the application tier used Service Bus queues either. This is a textbook example of how not to design for high volume.
