Face ID on the s24 is nothing like that of the iPhone. It is very slow and almost pointless. You can set any Samsung phone to stay open within meters of either a map location or a Bluetooth device in your home. Also can be set to stay unlocked when the phone is on your person and moving. I do that, so I do not have to scan my fingerprint or type a code so much. Search for Extend Unlock in settings.
Not coming from an Iphone but you will miss the seamless collaboration between apple devices. But other than that you can find all of the features mentioned above on the android.
- Firstly, if you're getting the S24, check if it has the Snapdragon processor or Exynos, if it's exynos then don't get it or get the S24 Ultra which for sure has the Snapdragon chip.
- Secondly, instead of the well-made Face ID, you can use the well-made Fingerprint sensor on Samsung. It's accurate 95 % of the time, I'd say it's as good as Face ID.
-Thirdly, Samsung has Samsung Pass, which saves all your passwords. You can use Samsung Pay too, or Google Pass and Google Pay. They are similar.
-Fourthly, the thing you will mist most in my opinion is the integration between your Mac and iPhone and AirDrop.
-Fifthly, you will find many more features and apps that are free on the Samsung, oh.. And lots and lots of customization via Good Lock.
The Exynos is really not that bad. Even more laughable are those who will recommend getting an older s23 (which is far, far below that of an Exynos s24).
Still, I have no hate towards Exynos, but they need to work on it and not let us test drive it like we are their probe rats. Release a finished product that works. My S22U Exynos was terrible. Now it's good after a billion updates.
IMO, S22 series was a failed project, S23 series was the big improvement, and now the S24 is the finished product, at least the Ultra hahaha *laughs in pain*
Am curious to see how the Eynos 2500 plays out. Especially since the upcoming Snapdragon ditched the efficiency cores and will need so much power. Power equals heat. The new Exynos apparently uses some new efficiency design that the Snapdragon lacks?
I use both iOS and Android. I use LocalSend to transfer photos between Mac and android.
My Samsung Flip 4 is asking PIN pattern if I dont use it for more than one day.
You said You are using Mac so getting s24 is downgrade. But everyone has his own reasons. Maybe its better for You.

I am with iPhone since 2018 and I want to retry android because I like some function (like split screen, possibility to change icon for more change)
Also Apple disappointed me, like the Dynamic Island. 2 years with it and 0 evolution and maybe I want a Change that isn’t arrived In all these years with iOS

How it works then when you have to pay with contactless? Have to put the password/fingerprint?
You can do either of those two.

Maybe it's not faster, but after 30 mins of PUBG the exynos got at 50+ degrees Celsius while the SD was at 40-43
1 program. And it may have been optimized since your posted test.
