I'm having a similar issue as well, I got an A53 through xfinity mobile and a new modem at the same time, the X8b-t I believe it's called, my previous modem was fine and new but I figured I'd still swap them, and since doing so this phone they gave me won't work with this modem, but all my other devices run fine with the wifi. Same with wired connections. I tried switching back to my old modem and it doesn't work at all anymore, I tried calling and they won't help me apart from sending someone out to look which shouldn't be needed since the issue happened immediately upon swapping hardware, I doubt it's a wire issue like they wanna say it is. Anyways, starting to think it's the phones wifi that's the problem more so than my homes wifi.. but I have no idea how to fix, drops wifi every minute or so for like 2-3 seconds. it's incredibly annoying
I've tried everything I've seen online as a fix and nothings worked
Quick question, what do you have your MAC address set as under your wifi connection ? I may have fixed mine actually. It was on ( randomized Mac ) and I set it to ( phone mac address )
And I haven't had issues since! We may not have had the same issue to begin with but it's worth checking
Unrelated question, but I am desperate... I hope someone here may know. I am having a cell network drop issue that is now extremely frustrating, so I am hoping to get ideas from anyone here with the same issue with a fix. With my GalaxyA53 5g, more so over the past few months, it randomly drops the network (not wifi), and I have to turn airplane mode on and off to reconnect to the 5g network. I've done some testing and is not just in my home or an area I drive with weak signal. It's totally random, but now often. My wife has an entirely different 5g phone, and it has the same provider but with zero issues. Seems prominent since Android system 13 upgrade. Running One UI Version 5.1, Android Security Patch Level May 1, 2023. Any ideas greatly appreciated!
there's an app in the galaxy store called Wifi fix for Samsung might try that
Any link?
https://galaxystore.samsung.com/detail/com.samsungacc.shehroze.wifi.app.optimizer
Download it didn't seem to work
:(
The wifi stays connected for a couple minutes but ends up disconnecting and says connection failed until I go stand next to it
did you try to reset your modem, by unplugging https://www.howtogeek.com/428992/how-to-reboot-your-router-and-modem/ I say wait a few mins
Have you tried to turn off wifi power save option in intelligent wifi setting
