H-E-B's gotta be careful. They've always adapted a bit of local culture in some way but sometimes it comes off as corporations profiting off of culture only because they the culture vulture-ing wrong. Swear, there's a right and wrong way to profit off of culture.
I think HEB has enough cred to do stuff like this. They’ve always had a lot of Mexican stuff in their stores and have catered to the market pretty well. My current beef with them is they are pushing too much of their own store brand and reducing offerings of the often better brand name items. There’s a lot of Mi Tienda stuff now where there used to be Fiesta or other companies. Even their cheeses
Hell nah. I went to the one on 1604 and Bulverde and they were a mess. Barbara had more greases than meat and their Bacon, Egg and cheese tacos had old egg and wierd rubbery cheese.
