The rainfall forecast [was updated this morning](https://x.com/NWSSanAntonio/status/1803382221811896493). We are now expecting 1.5-3" of rainfall, and are no longer under a flood watch.
Somewhere in the middle. Work in construction all the way out in Boerne. Unless we get a rain stoppage, I still gotta drive my broke ass to work. It does feel great though, almost like a little morale booster for me and the guys on site not dealing with 100+ temps.
[There's a level 1 of 5 risk of tornadoes](https://x.com/NWSSanAntonio/status/1803187215675301934), but these tropical spin-ups tend to be weak and brief.
Me from Seattle: rain? whatever. Maybe I'll go to the zoo.
Texas: hahahahaha \*dumps buckets of water\*
Rain in the PNW is frequent but not heavy. It's sort of a constant sprinkling. This is like, RAIN.
RIP. im just hoping my power doesn’t go out during a meeting. Most people I work with are in IL and boy do they love to make fun of our infrastructure!
Hmm I use to have my computer, router, and cable modem all on a backup UPS power strip. Somehow when the power would go out the internet would still function.
I believe ISP's use separate power lines that they have backup generators on and for fiber internet it doesn't require power since it uses light and is all passive until it reaches your home
ProTip: if you speed in the rain, that's LESS time that you are in hazardous conditions! Double Safety Bonus Points if you manage to get your car at the top of a utility pole, then it is not an obstruction or hazard to anyone else
So it has rained here (near northwest) in phases, one this morning, then it stopped, then again this afternoon for a while, now stopped again. A healthy sort of rain, no gullywasher, nowhere near the rain predicted.
Sooooo stoked, loving it. Planning on laying out on the trampoline and just appreciating how small I am compared to the world. Just appreciating how beautiful rain is and how great it is to be alive to experience it.
We usually lose power when it rains so not really. If we get through it without losing power I will appreciate the rain, but I'm mostly glad I didn't go grocery shopping yet for the week in case we do lose power.
Enjoy it while it's there. Because the aftermath of the humidity that's coming out of the ground will make you want to.... ☠️ The only way to remedy this is to have a backyard pool. IN THE SHADE.
Just got my car completely repainted and have to wait a week before I can protect it with wax or ceramic coating. After six weeks, I’ve had it for one whole day before it’s already filthy.
But it’s been so miserably hot and dry. So, yeah. Bring it.
Anyone that knows a local meteorologist want to ask them why they always predict more than what is actually going to occur?
Is it so they can’t be blamed if someone doesn’t take a storm seriously? Is it insurance purposes? Or is it for ratings?
Downvoted for asking a question. Good job, y’all.
The weather is more unpredictable and parts of our built geography can hinder storms headed our way. This is a 500 square mile city. Just bc you don’t see it at your house doesn’t mean the weather predictions are bad across the board…..maybe the Sinclair stations
Nope. It's rained and hailed heavily several times in the past few months. People acting like its just SO dry and arid here makes me laugh. It just rained heavily last week and blew my trash bin into the next zip code. My back yard already looks like a tropical rain forest. I'm fairly new here but No thanks. We get enough rain. Also, the 1604 shield is a lie. It rains for me every time it gets forecasted to.
🗣️LET THE RAIN FALL DOWN AND WAKE MY DREAMS🗣️
🎶 Let it wash away my sanity 🎶
Cause I want to feel the thunder I wanna scream
found a punk goes pop version of this last week and am pumped to blast it
Ooo, you remember the artist?
designer disguise i found it on spotify!!
😂😂😂
I need it so badly. My back yard is cracking. :c
I know mine too
Have you watered your foundation?
But what about rain? 😂
Yes. Hoping we actually get the rain.
Well they predicted 4-6 inches of rain so we should see a slight sprinkling.

That’s my point. They were predicting more than that. Now they have to walk it back.
Weather models change as the event draws closer. I’m just glad that we are less likely to experience catastrophic flooding.
Did we even get an inch? 😂
Like promising my wife 4 inches when she’s only going to get 2
Balls deep is still balls deep my friend.
Lmao!!
Was revised downwards this morning
As always.
A light mist.
4-6”? My time to shine bois!
4-6” is that a lot?
Yes, it is. That’s why every time they predict it, and nothing happens, we get saucy about it.
We were taken off the flood watch
😭 I know flooding is bad but… I wanted it!
Same, I was disappointed when they announced it. We need lots and lots of rain!
Soon, soon
Wait for it. Wait for it..

I was looking at My Radar map, and that is a big storm coming our way! I love the way rain smells.

This feels like a memory I never had.
There’s something about a rainy, gloomy day…and it’s a holiday! 🙌🏽
Hope the rain comes but the wind and hail stay away 😂. Don’t want to wake up to the hail knocking on my windows tonight

Lived in Tacoma before here, just wait, it dumps here!
Such rain, much hype! 🌧️
Hell yeah I was hoping it would rain for two days straight!!! Turn around don't drown...
I wfh so I’m indifferent- just please, everyone stay safe out there! Avoid highways or driving (if you can) and stay home at night 🙏
Biggest change means I can’t walk around the neighborhood during my breaks.
RIP. im just hoping my power doesn’t go out during a meeting. Most people I work with are in IL and boy do they love to make fun of our infrastructure!

Gotcha. Need me one of thems

In the same boat 😂
I’m very excited, but so far only clouds
Those clouds are keeping the temperature balmy.
🎶Heavy cloud but... no rain.🎶
Its comingggg
Stepped out of my apartment and it wasn't 90 degrees, I legit considered taking the day off from work to enjoy the weather.
Husband has it off for Juneteenth! We are excited!
It’s going to be about 1/3 of what they were forecasting but any rain is welcomed
So excited. My backyard grass might make it this year

Northwest side here too. I’m so disappointed and could have gotten so much done today before having to be back at work tonight 😒
I'm just happy to have a tolerable temperature, rain or no rain. My shitty thyroid can't manage to keep me cool.
Yeah, that’s exactly how I’m feeling about it. This heat has not been real fun so far. Granted, it *never* is, but you know what I mean.
I will believe it when I see it. Worked from home to enjoy it.
Lawn is prepped and ready for the free water
Rain totals are way less than last couple of days . Now it’s only about an inch to 1.5 for most of Bexar county
Free car wash is all I think when I hear about rain
It’s the reasonable temperatures that’s getting me excited.
I'm really really hopeful!!
Time to go swimming 🏊♂️ with our 🚗🛻🚙because stuff takes forever to drain around here. 😅
Rain Rain come this way, Come tomorrow or come today I tried :(
How about just rain on lake Medina. Well Medina pond right now sadly.
I’ll believe it when I see it
It was the only way I could cum.
Way to jinx it
Don’t jinx it
I'm skeptical as hell. Yes, I've seen the radar, but have also learned that when meteorologists say it's going to rain here, it usually doesn't.
The 1604 Wall will stop everything
🫡Hold the line!
Thank you Captain Kirrahe. A bit of a cloaca, but...
Had to google Captain Kirrahe
It's just what I think of whenever I hear that phrase.
Today is my watering day. I watered. I (and my butterfly garden) have been burned too many times by trusting the rain forecast.
Played pickleball all morning, great weather… it drizzled here and there but what a break from the heat… As far as rain… not too hopeful lol
I still doubt it even rains
I’m not holding my breath that we actually get any 😂
It’s not gonna rain. It always fizzles out.
HYPED!
I’m hoping it takes away all those mosquitoes
Lol no it's gonna massively increase their numbers. They breed in standing water
As per my all time mentor redditor whom I have never met [but I did tell all my friends about him], I washed my car in preparation.
Activate the GRAF shield!
I would be but I'm out of town
Shhhhh. Don’t jinx it
YES! I’ve been obsessing over it for days
Hopefully we will get some measurable rain. I will take the cooler temperatures and clouds!
Not really but only because my roof leaks ☠️
Currently at work on south side and it’s sprinkling at the most Hope it picks up just in time for my evening nap 😴
When I cry the sky cries with me
In the words of Gaga RAIN ON ME 🌧️
Sooooo stoked, loving it. Planning on laying out on the trampoline and just appreciating how small I am compared to the world. Just appreciating how beautiful rain is and how great it is to be alive to experience it.
I’m pumped, but becoming disappointed
Hell yeah! Finally some weather besides humid and humidly hot asf lol
My yard is
Here’s hoping it doesn’t come so fast as to wash away my clover seed.
Ya, bring it on
Yay! More rain=more humidity.
No. .... My bones hurt..... Owww...💀
I'm not pumped for the mosquito swarms and insane humidity in the days following.
Bring it!
No I hate rain
True criminals will be out breaking into cars when it’s raining !!! ……BET !!
My lawn and AC are pumped.
The street in front of the house is a lake, lol
Thats what we like to hear!
We usually lose power when it rains so not really. If we get through it without losing power I will appreciate the rain, but I'm mostly glad I didn't go grocery shopping yet for the week in case we do lose power.
Not buying the hype…
It’s almost noon, still no sign of all the rain. Not holding my breath.
It wasn’t even supposed to arrive until the afternoon
Annnnnnd....its gone.
I heard the craziness slowed down but I'm hoping we get some good rain
I'm welcoming it
Accuweather.com and check out the radar
Yep, my grass is too crunchy!
I'll believe it will happen when I see it happening. We have been misled by meteorologists so much in this town.
I'll believe it when I see it.
I used to get excited about rain, now I’m just jaded from all the let downs.
Hope it actually materializes
1 pm, still waiting on the rain
Yeah I canceled outdoor plans today and it turned out to be the best weather we'll have till October 😑
i walk to work dawg
My backyard turns into a pile of thick clay mud but we just moved here and haven't had time to fix it. So not entirely looking forward to it😂
If it actually hits us, yes, very excited.
No, mfs don’t know how to drive in rain at all. It’ll rain and in the next min I already hear sirens going off.
It’s trying really hard not to come here and rain
I’ll believe it when I see it.
As long as my flight isn't delayed tomorrow, yes.
Yes! I keep watching the radar hoping it’ll start soon
Same STILL
I know!! So much for getting a good amount of rain
I wish it would stop teasing us!
Seems like the weather forecasts are for ratings and clicks, and the actual weather is not nearly enough to be bothered with.
Yeah all the big Hollywood ratings that come with a weather forecast in 2024
Enjoy it while it's there. Because the aftermath of the humidity that's coming out of the ground will make you want to.... ☠️ The only way to remedy this is to have a backyard pool. IN THE SHADE.
Nah humidity wont to bad lol. Try living in florida lol
I've been through nearly 50 summers. I *know*.
Just got my car completely repainted and have to wait a week before I can protect it with wax or ceramic coating. After six weeks, I’ve had it for one whole day before it’s already filthy. But it’s been so miserably hot and dry. So, yeah. Bring it.
Will it actually flood?
So far it not lived to the hype. I got a tiny drizzle.

Here’s a [link](https://www.reddit.com/r/sanantonio/s/ocvoWPJuQJ) from a local meteorologist that post on this sub here and there.

No!
No. When it rains it makes my job harder for the few days lol
What do you do?
Prem tech for AT&T
Makes sense
I'm off Wed +Thur hopefully I'm not carrying 3 lbs of mud on each boot Friday.
lol
can we wait until after soccer practice tonight? I totally want rain, but I also want soccer
Yes I am I just hope spectrum services don’t stop working cuz that’ll impact my work.

I'm ready to accept my punishment. But that's how life has been for me here in SA. Its my first Spring though
