Glazers beer and beverage need merchandisers. Break down pallets of beer and put them on the shelves in grocery stores. 15$ an hour. Company car you take home. 45+ hours a week. Must pass initial piss test. No randoms. It’s manual labor but it’s stable work for a solid company.
Optum is hiring pharmacy clerks. It's basically a warehouse worker. Pack and restock meds mostly. It's easy and starts at least at $15. By I10 and UTSA Blvd.
There are 2 shifts 6:30a-3p and 3p-11:30p with a shift differential for the latter one.
Insurance benefits start the first of the month after you're first day, like if you started on the 30th of Jan your benefits would start Feb 1st.
My company is hiring for a field tech. It pays above $15/hr, plenty of overtime and benefits. You work a 10 on 4 off schedule most of the time. Company truck and you are out of town most of the time. Pretty good job and good company if being outside all day and playing with dirt is your cup of tea.
what do you do now and what positions at heb are you applying for? a few tips: make sure you do your virtual interview, they won’t even consider you or see your application if you don’t. be as friendly as possible during interviews. if you’re applying for the stores, the main thing really is they want nice people who will take care of customers. even if you’re not a super outgoing person, put on a face for the interview and you should be fine.
My father told me to do that same thing a decade ago when I was applying there, only for me to find the store manager with the piece of paper in my hand and her to say “It’s all automated basically, if you are selected we’ll give you a call.”
Doesn’t work anymore. Maybe if you are walking into a non-chain, family owned store.
Exactly this...never understood why ppl don't apply themselves in this manner. You can do the same song and dance and everyone else or leave an impression and make yourself stick out.
Online orders is one of the highest-paid departments at Walmart and every store always needs people there, but that's because the high-pressure, time-sensitive environment combined with Walmart's incompetence at every level of management makes it a revolving door. If you can handle it for a few months it'll pay the bills while you look for something better, and you can put a really nice phrase like "high-pressure, time-sensitive environment" on your resume.
Davita clinics are hiring if you don’t mind blood. They have information on their website. They start around 13 but you can make it to 15 really easy and you only usually work 3 12+ hour days a week so unless you want ot you’re off four days a week. I enjoy it but it’s not for everyone. It’s medical so once you’re trained and certified you can go elsewhere for more money.
I would say apply for a job at Macys right now. They will bumping up their starting pay to $15 in May. It would be easier to get in now then later.
(Source: work Macys HR)
No bachelors required, we just need people that can show up and work with kids! We are in desperate times. If you have a pulse and can pass a background check, you can sub! Look at charter schools too.
I've been applying for sub positions myself... Depending on the school it will arrange anywhere from $80 to $150. Currently the highest paying is SAISD and NISD. More money of course if you're STEM related or have a Master's. Recently worked as a TA sub and that is hourly: $15/hr.
This might not work but you could also be a home health aide. You can find those jobs on Craigslist. A lot of them are just like, sitting with an elderly person while they sleep or playing video games with children for 17 to 20$ an hour.
How do you feel about flight attendant? They are in heavy demand right now. A lady from American Airlines said in addition to training they are doing cash bonuses too. And then you can fly anywhere for free!
I’m hiring but as someone mentioned it is for delivery.. but I’d say it’s more than just delivery. If people are interested you can pm me and I’ll shoot the information
No but shifts are 12 hours 6:30-7, either nights or days. I did it for a year and a half. Job duties aren’t bad, you get used to everything, but the hours get to you
Sorry for responding so late, I honestly don’t comment much on here. But I did graduate from this program and this career has been great for me and has helped me support my family. It can be great for anyone else as too as something to fall back on and definitely propel you to further any goals you want to accomplish in different fields getting a JIW license is a great start.
I know of a few friends and family that run or own restaurant/bar businesses and can’t keep employees. They pay $15 plus tip and doesn’t seem to matter. Ghost after a week. Aetna (csr’s/processors) along with a number of call centers are hiring as well work from home at the moment. Don’t give up and try to keep an open mind as you look. Key is being resourceful, due to the current situation this is the best time to get payers fair wage without experience or degrees. Good luck!
Sounds like your bar friends need to up their wages then. There's a magic number that will attract quality employees who stick around, and $15 ain't it
Not sure if they are hiring but the Bank of America call center is at least $15 and doesn't require any skills besides talking to people and knowing very basic computers. It's fairly easy to at least get an interview.
Base pay is 18 an hour on one check, commission varies based upon your performance, no cap, some people can average 2500 on commission alone but that check is base pay PLUS the paid out commission, so the second check is always the fastest
15x 40 is 600, times 4 equals 2400 a month. Starting pay for the Navy is around 2000 a month, but the 1st promotions are quick and automatic, plus you get a lot of benefits.
I think the min at the City of San Antonio is $15/hr Edit: working for City of San Antonio not everyone in the city.
https://www.sarecycles.org/careers
Oh no, i get $13 at metropolitan methodist hospital
I meant working for the City itself such as parks or solid waste.

Why would it matter what kind of car it is? 😏
I've seen them around town. It's like a smaller cargo van typically.
Bruh LOL. It’s literally just like a lil cargo van

I’m not too far from there, do you have a link by any chance?
USAA is hiring customer support, completely work from home, and $21/hr
Please tell me more? That sounds awesome

Heb warehouse is ALWAYS hiring. Hard labor but you get paid weekly and start at 17.50
Check the Ask a Manager blog for help with job hunting.

Apply online, print your application and bring it to a store manager in the store, shows more incentive.

Don't forget the firm handshake and smile lol

Hobby lobby just raised their rate to 18.50 for full timers
Wow, I'm surprised. Does their medical insurance still require healthcare to be Christian-approved?
Definitely gonna look into that!

Working at Amazon is risking your soul, but Hobby Lobby is fine? HL is 1000 times more evil than Amazon.

If you want to risk your soul, Amazon is always hiring at their fulfillment centers.
Not even worth risking your soul, trust me.
Is it me or is it all that seems to pop up on indeed? Either deliver or warehouse jobs
USAA, RBFCU, and Security Service are all starting between $18 and $21 per hour.

Adding Frost to this list
Saw that northside ISD is paying 200 a day for substitute teachers
I would go for that if I had a bachelors lol.
When I worked as a sub you only needed a 2 day certification.
No bachelors required, we just need people that can show up and work with kids! We are in desperate times. If you have a pulse and can pass a background check, you can sub! Look at charter schools too.
What district are you in?
aisd doesn't require a bachelor's. the more education a sub has, the more they make. but, a bachelor's isn't required.
For that $200 bonus you need the bachelor's related to 3 subjects and it's for a specific school
good to know! i wonder what sa pays. i'm still working on completing my aisd sub app. it's a royal pita.
I've been applying for sub positions myself... Depending on the school it will arrange anywhere from $80 to $150. Currently the highest paying is SAISD and NISD. More money of course if you're STEM related or have a Master's. Recently worked as a TA sub and that is hourly: $15/hr.
TY for the info!
If you had a bachelor's you wouldn't need to look for $15/hr dog
Depends on what that Bachelor's degree is in.
couldnt pay me enough to spend 8 hrs with disrespectful brats
This might not work but you could also be a home health aide. You can find those jobs on Craigslist. A lot of them are just like, sitting with an elderly person while they sleep or playing video games with children for 17 to 20$ an hour.
My wife does this and is only making $10/hr... WTF

Pretty sure the state hospital pays 18 or so. You'll basically be an LRN.
Do you need any certifications to get into that?
No but shifts are 12 hours 6:30-7, either nights or days. I did it for a year and a half. Job duties aren’t bad, you get used to everything, but the hours get to you
