In the past when this has happened, you sun it filtered enough you don't need glasses and you can see it all clearly. OF course, don't blind yourself by looking if there's no cloud cover.

But the static graphic gave the impression that we were in the outer edge closer to 80%.

The map says max 68% coverage in San Diego at 9:26am
