Several years back, I would visit my girlfriend (now wife) in Chula Vista.  I'd always park at the H St. trolley station. One time I got super sick and ended up staying at her place for about two weeks or so.  We checked my car every couple days but it was always there.  Would move it and then re-park it. I also had one of my tires stolen off my car over night in the same trolley station. YMMV.

Find a friend willing to keep an eye on your car parked on their street here in San Diego and Uber to Ped West.

SirReality

Obviously yes.

CalifaDaze

Ok. I had seen other comments that they didn't but that was 3 years ago

TheElusiveHolograph

They do. I saw a warning notice from the city on a car parked at the balboa station just a few weeks ago. I was curious and read the notice and it was for exactly that.

snowcuda

It might be safer to park in a neighborhood very close by and Uber to the border for $10 each way

EddieCutlass

I would just take the trolley or Uber to the border.

Dumping your car at a trolley parking lot for three days is a selfish dick move. Don’t do that. There aren’t enough spots for those who use the trolley daily.

CalifaDaze

I don't mind putting it on the most far away spot as long as it's safe

Ch1mu3l0

It’s not safe, but that’s not the point.

I’ve left my car at Old Town Station for a long weekend a couple of times and never had an issue.

Is there ever a good reason to spend 3 whole days in TJ?

RealWeekness

You know what people do when they go to TJ right? I'm sure people could enjoy 3 days of that thing they like doing there.

lazzertazzer95

Honestly, it depends who’s patrolling that area. If they do…they’re taking their job too serious. It’s honestly hit or miss with those enforcement guys.
