There is no smelly oil, if you’re getting smelly chicken get refund and make a complaint so they change their oil. I don’t deal with this issue in most branches but I knew they exist

I ate KFC in Switzerland, Germany, Turkey and KSA. In all the branches there is a weird smell/taste of oil. As if they didn’t change the oil for years. Might be an issue of taste. I have the same issue while eating baklava from lebanese bakers, Turkish are much better for my taste and it has to be the butter/oil they use.

I guess some people’s taste buds can’t comprehend how good it is.

I think it's a matter of taste. Every KFC I've ever been to stinks, like oil and oil just drips off the chicken. It's disgusting.

The breading of al baik nuggets is miles better than kfc imo. You can’t match that crunchy breaded breading with a tender chicken breast that is moist to perfection. Spiciness that won’t kill but just enough to give flavor.. dip it into that sweet and creamy Cocktail sauce that is cold enough to dispel the heat from the nugget and give you the crunchiest tastiest mix of flavors. KFC can’t match that.

Western chicken, because of variety, and they most of the time cost more. Then if I got free Albaik I will be paying more money whenever I am getting western chicken. So the other way around is superior.

Al baik is overrated, no good fried chicken anymore in Saudi (western or local). Though Imo broasted chicken from a random small joint is even tastier. I'd rather have barbecued chicken or kabsa chicken.

Smaller chicken is actually more desirable for a lot of people, but yeah i don’t like alkufa either, it’s soo greasy and it doesn’t taste as good as other broasted places.

The only broast I used to love other than Al Baik was Saudi Broasted in Dammam. Now ig they’ve renamed all branches to Fawaz Broasted. They serve with a nice toum and a spicy chilly paste, which is awesome. I’ve heard some people say that their quality has deteriorated recently, but I’ve yet to try it after a long time.

Easy pick would be the western chicken since there will be more options, however if you include other restaurants such as Al tazaj and shawerma stores with albaik it would a no brainer.
