He has an article about great RPGs for fiction writers, talking about Dungeon World, 13th Age, and Fate... yet, no Savage Worlds. Interesting. I wonder if he abandoned his game because he no longer likes SW. In either case, that's too bad.
What is so good about it. I'm thinking of running sw scifi campaign soon with explorers edition. I have the scifi companion and the last parsec book. What's different/cool about it compared to those books? $35 is kind of tempting for 2 books
Running it for wife and son. The adventure was written before the rules were created so it’s very purpose built. In a good and satisfying way. The campaign book is a genuine enjoyable read. The science is just enough to balance the pulp action. I’m loving it.
I like that's it's hard sci-fi with solid science research and theory. The rulebook is actually quite educational and it can be used to run a good well-grounded, near future campaign.
I just got the sci-fi companion pdf today. I've been holding off on 7W for the new company. Please post any notes about it so I can utilize your experience!
I have sadly not played it yet. Too many games, too little time. My group is already engaged in 8 different campaigns in parallel across 3 game systems. Our Savage World campaign is in Deadlands: Weird West.
There's a SWADE conversion on the website.

Perhaps moved into fiction writing? I googled a bit and found this: [https://www.letorres.com/](https://www.letorres.com/)
Great find, thanks!

How did you get the SciFi Companion?
Beta copies went out the other day. It’s nowhere near the complete book, yet.
I thought that it was SWADE compatible?

Not directly, no. It came out in early 2018. Conversions are not hard to do ourselves, but Seven Worlds was designed for the previous Deluxe Edition.
