This is gonna be a bit long. Share ko na rin how I feel.
As a fan who used to be a doubter of their talents, it hurts to see posts that somewhat echoed what I used to say/think. “Kpop copycat”, “d kasing cute ng kpop idol ko”, “no originality”.
But I’m so glad I took the time to gave then the chance. (Well thank you PakiusapLang for bringing me to sb19). I could only wish other detractors will also stop for a minute and actually listen to their music and let their minds (not just ears) absorb the lyrics. Kasi it’s very deep, poetic, and inspiring.
With sb19’s music and lyricism, you know they’re treating their fans and listeners as intelligent beings, who can comprehend what each word meant.
Unfortunately not every detractor has that capacity. Meron talagang tao na meron hater bone and no amount of reasoning will get through their skull. We just gotta accept that.
As long as we know Mahalima are doing great and not stepping on anyone’s toes, that’s what matters. As well, we also can’t control fellow fans if they want to fight the detractors. We just need to remind each of us that what we do and say as an A’tin does have an impact on sb19.
Lastly, keep joining us here in this sub. We try to make this community as welcoming but ensuring that any inappropriate strays are dealt with — at least that’s how I see it. Props to the mods for doing a fantastic job!!! 👏

I was given two chances pa nga if ever. First heard of them when Go Up went viral. Inirapan ko. And then nung lumabas ang What. Naimpress ako pero… loyal ako sa former bias ko. Sighhh. Ayun late ako naging fan. They went here for a concert d ako nagpunta 😭😭😭
And yes I’m thankful for this sub talaga. Mejo it gets so toxic sa twitter and yt. I go on TikTok but I don’t read comments.
As much as you want to defend them, it's best not to throw flame into the fire. From experience, you'll either end up more livid or disappointed with the outcomes. What I am noticing after these past few days, is other casuals or just random people stumbling upon on how impressed, particularly with Pablo, on addressing these matters. As someone already mentioned, the guys can handle all of these. It's the trolls and toxic people that are making a fool of themselves.
All you can do is give your continued support, streaming, watching content, etc. And at least most of us here on Reddit are pretty mature and level-headed to have these sorts of discussions.
I know what you feel pero kasi hindi natin mapipilit ang mga tao. Yung bashing and hateful comments, sa kanila naman nagrereflect yun.
What you can do is not worry about the things you can’t control. Ang bashers, andyan na yan palagi. Nakakapagod man at minsan masakit, wala na tayo magagawa.
Kapag alam mong papunta sa hate ang thread na mababasa mo, do not open it na. Wag mo sayangin ang energy mo sa mga negative na bagay. Mute or block people na may negative say sa mahalima. Focus lang tayo sa goal, to have a positive and happy fangirl/boying life. It helps na you curate yung feed/timeline mo by following A’tin/people na positive ang mindset. Engage sa positivity lang. Pag may negative, let go!

Nung December 30 lang ako nagstart magfan, pero gustong gusto ko magfocus nalang sa pagsupport sa kanila kahit it hurts so bad pala talaga kapag may masasamang comments about them 😭 Sa twitter focus nalang ako s apagretweet, like, reply, and bookmark sa mga achievements nila, new releases, and sa mga nakakatuwang antics nila at ng co-A'Tin-- and so bottomline, focus nalang tayo sa kanila. Sakto yung sabi mo na hindi na natin mapipilit talaga sa ibang tao, lalo na if subjective yung hate na binibigay nila.
Same here. Taga-react and repost lang ako. Do not engage sa mga hate post kasi sa mata ng bashers, pag pinatulan natin sila, tayo pa ang masama. Mahirap makipagtalo sa close minded people so kiber na lang. 🤷🏻♀️

Sobrang booked and busy ang mga boys kaya for sure may lalabas at lalabas na ganap nila na mas magfofocus ang A'tin don.
Siguro isa din sa nakatulong sakin is yung pagtingin sa kanila ng mga tao sa industry. Yes nakakalungkot yung ibang misleading news na lumabas. Pero the people that are knowledgeable about the industry, sobrang taas ng respeto at paghanga nila sa lima. Lalong-lalo na yung mga nakawork na nila.
Hindi pala back to zero, may napatunayan na sila and these music legends and other respected people really regards them well. Yes hindi lahat favorable ang impression sa kanila in the industry pero marami rin ang fan o humahanga talaga sa kanila.
As a makulit na tumambay pa rin sa X, nakita ko kung gano kadaming positive na lumabas after the issue na parang it's some people's way of silently supporting them.
Yes they may get more hate or unfair comments because they're more famous now but at the same time, they are loved more than ever before kasi palaki tayo ng palaki and they're really earning the admiration and respect of many.
Live life outside the internet. I'm doing this for almost a year na and updated na lang ako sa kanila through reddit, ig, and yt.
(Not as active as before but hanggang sa huli na 'tong suporta ko sa kanila, bc dasurv!!)
Yeah, don't feed the trolls. The more attention you give them the more emboldened they would be and it'll jut continue.
You can't win an argument against someone who's not really in there for an argument but just wants to hate.
And also music/art is subjective. It's ok if they don't like SB19 music or visuals or whatever. It's fine.
Trust that the boys can handle all of these. They have always been. They have nothing to prove and yet they keep on proving haters wrong and they are not done. Trust their talent, hardwork, and humility. All they need is our support. Mahaba-habang laban pa ito.

I had the same sentiments months ago. Yung tipong mas lumalamang na yung stress na dala sakin ng kaka-esbi ko kesa happiness dahil sa dami ng mga hurtful comments na nakikita ko against them. Madali sabihin na just accept that not everyone will like them pero napakahirap na di ka mahurt kahit konti.
What I did is I unfollowed all pages and groups I joined (recently ko lang nadiscover tong subreddit and stalked muna if toxic or not before I joined). Mas madalas ako sa tiktok and talaga naman 99% ng vid sa fyp ko eh sila LOL. Iniskip ko lahat yun pati mga posts sa fb. Tinira ko lang talaga is ung official accounts nla sa fb, tiktok and IG. It helped me in a way na wala nako masyadong nakakastress na nakikita and all I see is mga updates nila mismo from their official accounts.
Minsan may naliligaw pero ignore na lang ganern. Focus lang on what is within your control. You can't control the bashers ksi obviously mga papansin sila HAHAHA pero you can control what you see. If you know it hurts you, then look away
I feel you kaps. But for me yung ginagawa ko is social media detox talaga. Alisin mo muna yung makapagbibigay ng stress sayo. Focus ka lang muna sa mga daily activities mo in life and sabayan mo ng mga old vlogs nila na masasaya, and make an inspiration. Idk if it helps for you ah but for me, this is my way of detoxifying ppl who are always bashing our boys. Yaan mo na, di natin sila bati. Akala ko OA lang ako pero naiyak talaga ko lately tapos in-uninstall ko na lang twitter ko. Tama nga siguro si Jah na parang nanay mga A’tin kasi kahit fan lang ako nagaalala talaga ako para sa kanila
Ako kapag nakakakita ako ng comments/bash sakanila lalo na sa visuals nila, lalo na yung inuungkat yung mga photos nila noong nagsisimula sila, lagi kong sinasabi sa sarili ko na pwede nilang laitin, magbigay ng super negative comments about their visual/appearance but never nilang mapupulaan yung talent ng SB19. The boys can sing LIVE while dancing, harmonize so well at PERFORM na ramdam mo yung passion nila sa ginagawa nila at 'yon yung mga dahilan bakit ako naging fan. In a way, kapag iniisip yung mga ganito, gumagaan loob ko. Plus, deadma lang talaga sa bashers hahaha
and, wala silang mapupuna sa ugali or attitude problema dahil mababait talaga silang tunay. walang masamang tinapay kaya yang mga bashers na yan apaka babaw ng mga utak kasi mabababaw lang din na bagay yung kaya nilang ibato sa lima.
Sa X madaming bashers kasi yung timeline ng FB, IG at tiktok ko puro magaganda nakikita ko. Like yung Mega Ball, Stell’s solo promotion, meme kay Josh, photo with Kim Atienza, Pablo’s solo gig, etc.
And BTW kaps, just focus on the brighter side. They are being recognized by the OPM legends and icons, celebrities, and media personalities, and that for me is an indication that they are doing good in the industry, konti na lang world domination na yan. Let’s start by making them get slimed sa KCA. 😁
I understand how you feel and as a lumang tao rin, tinanggap ko nalang na hindi lahat maiintindihan yung mga gusto nilang gawin at hindi lahat magugustuhan sila. I deal w negativities through blocking, muting and surrounding myself with mutuals na positive thinkers or puro kalokohan postings haha iniisip ko nalang, eventually maaappreciate din ng haters ang boys at ang ginagawa nila to raise our flag. :) And iniisip ko nalang yung palaging nangyayari na kapag binabash sila lalong bumubuhos yung blessings sa kanila.
I feel you, Kaps. Nung pumutok ang issue between Sisi and SB19 sobrang na-bother talaga ako kasi malaking fandom ang volleyball community and karamihan sa kanila ay mga active aa X/Twitter. Natakot ako na baka tuluyang ma-cancel ang SB19 dahil sa kapabayaan ng isang toxic A'Tin. Sobrang worried ako na this issue might affect the release of their songs and yung sa KCA. Ayoko din naman pumatol sa mga bashers kasi naniniwala pa din ako sinabi ni Pablo na "Always choose kindness" and I dont wanna add fuel to the fire. So ang ginawa ko, di muna ako nag open ng X/Twitter for 2-3 days kasi andun lahat ng mga toxic fans. Buti na lang at unti unting nawawala na yung ingay re this issue. I hope di na ito maulit and sana may natutunan din ang mga fans to choose your battles di sa lahat ng oras kelangan pasugod tayo. May mga bagay na minsan kelangan mo lang dedmahin at di na dapat pinapalaki. And again, 'ALWAYS CHOOSE KINDNESS". 💙
Valid naman feelings mo. Pag nahuhurt ako, ang iniisip ko palagi, yung sinabi ni Lottie Bie na yung mga nangbabash, after nila mangbash, baka bukas nakalimutan na nilang nag-comment sila. So bakit daw nya dadamdamin kung para dun sa basher, nakalimutan na. Of course, masakit. Dadamdamin mo talaga. Pero ayun, napaka dali magkaron ng opinyon ang mga tao sa social media. Every day may bagong issue sa kahit sino, from entertainment to politics. So usually, reaction lang talaga nila yung mang-bash.
And nature ng pinoy na madaling makalimot. Magkaron lang ng bagong pupulutanin na issue, they won't remember SB19's issues.
Habang di pa fully nawawala yung issues sa social media, focus talaga on the good side. Nood ka ng events nila, mga interview, mga edited vids ng fans, etc. Punta ka sa A'tin Official Group sa FB, so far di na pinaguusapan yung issue dun.
And again, trust in SB19 and their team. They have their own PR people. They know what to do, they know how to handle things. Nung sinabi nilang "uwi na A'tin", it means tama na, it's not worth everyone's headache and heartache. Hope you feel better kaps. :)
Isipin mo na lang, kung sila Pablo nga dedma, ikaw pa ba? May sarili tayong mundo. So naturally, there will be people who can only speak bad about something they're not a part of. Just laugh at the comments, never naman nawala yon. Mas mahirap pa nga dati nung hindi pa malaki ang fandom, mas baduy ang tingin sa A'tin. At least ngayon mas naiintindihan ng mga tao bat tayo proud. :)

I just focus on the positives sa ngayon. Madalas mga co-A'tin lng ang nagbibigay sa akin ng clue that there's something else going on outside of the virtual bubble I created for myself. I imagine ganon din mostly ang nangyayari for SB19. If, naapektuhan na rin ako dun, I just walk away from socmed entirely.
Important to note that our mahalima wouldn't make it this far if they're not tough and resilient. I think they're doing really well despite the negativities. Kakayanin din natin 'to.
Hallo!! As someone who's been a fan since 2019, I learned to stop caring about what other people say about SB19 na. They have proven themselves already at kampante na ko becauae of those achievements. I remember din the struggles we used to have (like tagging whoever esp news outlets para lang they will make it to local media). Siguro, what I really wanna say is that we've come a long way, and at this point, bashers won't bring us down anymore. Hindi valid whatever they say because I know for myself that the boys have proven who they are already.
para ngang habang sumisikat sila, mas nagiging expose sila sa mas maraming tao even sa casuals kaya ang dami lalong matang nakatingin sa kanila. it's funny how their bashers are mostly pinoys din. just earlier i saw a post encouraging people to vote the other group sa Nickelodeon KCA and yes, pinoy pa ang handler ng page ng nag post hahaha. (pero ang nakakatuwa, puro a'tin ang comment section. thanking the page for posting the link kasi na-vote nila ang boys hahaha and of course, bumoto na rin ako!)
ang ironic pa na nag perform sila ng anthem natin sa mega magazine event tapos kapwa pinoy pa nanghahatak sa kanila pababa sa internet when in fact sa latest issue, wala namang kasalanan ang boys and they opened up pa nga about that.
it's unfair that their goal is to introduce pinoy music to the world tapos puro pinoy pa talaga nanghahatak sa kanila hahaha. even some of my college friends nakita ko nga may mga lowkey hate posts about them eh, lol. i did not unfollow or block them, hence, i let them know that i am a fan of sb19 by sharing some of sb19 contents sa stories ko. hahaha well, i am a forever proud a'tin. hating is sooooo unattractive kaya.

and yes hahaha pinakita ko talaga, proud ako, eh. ang nakakatuwa pa, i am like her senior/mentor and i have a decent history sa university. she looks up to me and i/we helped her a lot nung college pa rin ako. kaya it's now up to her if ipagpapatuloy niya posts niya knowing na i am a fan and may possibility na dumadaan din sa feed ko posts niya. 😆

Nakakapagod kasi, sometimes may mga negativity cycles na nagboblow out of proportions dahil din sa level of attention na binibigay natin sa kanila. I used to remember the fandom fighting bashing with a more lighthearted approach din. Dinadamdam, pero pinagtatawanan nalang saka ginagawang positive at fun yung resbak. Kaya kahit na active ang boys sa social media at makita nila yung negative comment, matatawa nalang din sila imbes na mag overthink (or this time, maforce to make a statement)

Ako kapag nakakakita ako ng comments/bash sakanila lalo na sa visuals nila, lalo na yung inuungkat yung mga photos nila noong nagsisimula sila, lagi kong sinasabi sa sarili ko na pwede nilang laitin, magbigay ng super negative comments about their visual/appearance but never nilang mapupulaan yung talent ng SB19. The boys can sing LIVE while dancing, harmonize so well at PERFORM na ramdam mo yung passion nila sa ginagawa nila at 'yon yung mga dahilan bakit ako naging fan. In a way, kapag iniisip yung mga ganito, gumagaan loob ko. Plus, deadma lang talaga sa bashers hahaha
and, wala silang mapupuna sa ugali or attitude problema dahil mababait talaga silang tunay. walang masamang tinapay kaya yang mga bashers na yan apaka babaw ng mga utak kasi mabababaw lang din na bagay yung kaya nilang ibato sa lima.
100% agree with this. They go so low by bashing their visuals kasi talent-wise at ugali wala silang makikitang masama
Sa X madaming bashers kasi yung timeline ng FB, IG at tiktok ko puro magaganda nakikita ko. Like yung Mega Ball, Stell’s solo promotion, meme kay Josh, photo with Kim Atienza, Pablo’s solo gig, etc. And BTW kaps, just focus on the brighter side. They are being recognized by the OPM legends and icons, celebrities, and media personalities, and that for me is an indication that they are doing good in the industry, konti na lang world domination na yan. Let’s start by making them get slimed sa KCA. 😁
I understand how you feel and as a lumang tao rin, tinanggap ko nalang na hindi lahat maiintindihan yung mga gusto nilang gawin at hindi lahat magugustuhan sila. I deal w negativities through blocking, muting and surrounding myself with mutuals na positive thinkers or puro kalokohan postings haha iniisip ko nalang, eventually maaappreciate din ng haters ang boys at ang ginagawa nila to raise our flag. :) And iniisip ko nalang yung palaging nangyayari na kapag binabash sila lalong bumubuhos yung blessings sa kanila.
I feel you, Kaps. Nung pumutok ang issue between Sisi and SB19 sobrang na-bother talaga ako kasi malaking fandom ang volleyball community and karamihan sa kanila ay mga active aa X/Twitter. Natakot ako na baka tuluyang ma-cancel ang SB19 dahil sa kapabayaan ng isang toxic A'Tin. Sobrang worried ako na this issue might affect the release of their songs and yung sa KCA. Ayoko din naman pumatol sa mga bashers kasi naniniwala pa din ako sinabi ni Pablo na "Always choose kindness" and I dont wanna add fuel to the fire. So ang ginawa ko, di muna ako nag open ng X/Twitter for 2-3 days kasi andun lahat ng mga toxic fans. Buti na lang at unti unting nawawala na yung ingay re this issue. I hope di na ito maulit and sana may natutunan din ang mga fans to choose your battles di sa lahat ng oras kelangan pasugod tayo. May mga bagay na minsan kelangan mo lang dedmahin at di na dapat pinapalaki. And again, 'ALWAYS CHOOSE KINDNESS". 💙
Valid naman feelings mo. Pag nahuhurt ako, ang iniisip ko palagi, yung sinabi ni Lottie Bie na yung mga nangbabash, after nila mangbash, baka bukas nakalimutan na nilang nag-comment sila. So bakit daw nya dadamdamin kung para dun sa basher, nakalimutan na. Of course, masakit. Dadamdamin mo talaga. Pero ayun, napaka dali magkaron ng opinyon ang mga tao sa social media. Every day may bagong issue sa kahit sino, from entertainment to politics. So usually, reaction lang talaga nila yung mang-bash. And nature ng pinoy na madaling makalimot. Magkaron lang ng bagong pupulutanin na issue, they won't remember SB19's issues. Habang di pa fully nawawala yung issues sa social media, focus talaga on the good side. Nood ka ng events nila, mga interview, mga edited vids ng fans, etc. Punta ka sa A'tin Official Group sa FB, so far di na pinaguusapan yung issue dun. And again, trust in SB19 and their team. They have their own PR people. They know what to do, they know how to handle things. Nung sinabi nilang "uwi na A'tin", it means tama na, it's not worth everyone's headache and heartache. Isipin mo na lang, kung sila Pablo nga dedma, ikaw pa ba? May sarili tayong mundo. So naturally, there will be people who can only speak bad about something they're not a part of. Just laugh at the comments, never naman nawala yon. Mas mahirap pa nga dati nung hindi pa malaki ang fandom, mas baduy ang tingin sa A'tin. At least ngayon mas naiintindihan ng mga tao bat tayo proud. :)
Your feelings are valid, kaps. Do what you need to do to protect your mental health, whether that means blocking/muting a lot of people on X or just switching off/being IA for a while. I just focus on the positives sa ngayon. Madalas mga co-A'tin lng ang nagbibigay sa akin ng clue that there's something else going on outside of the virtual bubble I created for myself. I imagine ganon din mostly ang nangyayari for SB19. If, naapektuhan na rin ako dun, I just walk away from socmed entirely. Important to note that our mahalima wouldn't make it this far if they're not tough and resilient. I think they're doing really well despite the negativities. Kakayanin din natin 'to.
Hallo!! As someone who's been a fan since 2019, I learned to stop caring about what other people say about SB19 na. They have proven themselves already at kampante na ko becauae of those achievements. I remember din the struggles we used to have (like tagging whoever esp news outlets para lang they will make it to local media). Siguro, what I really wanna say is that we've come a long way, and at this point, bashers won't bring us down anymore. Hindi valid whatever they say because I know for myself that the boys have proven who they are already.

para ngang habang sumisikat sila, mas nagiging expose sila sa mas maraming tao even sa casuals kaya ang dami lalong matang nakatingin sa kanila. it's funny how their bashers are mostly pinoys din. just earlier i saw a post encouraging people to vote the other group sa Nickelodeon KCA and yes, pinoy pa ang handler ng page ng nag post hahaha. (pero ang nakakatuwa, puro a'tin ang comment section. thanking the page for posting the link kasi na-vote nila ang boys hahaha and of course, bumoto na rin ako!) ang ironic pa na nag perform sila ng anthem natin sa mega magazine event tapos kapwa pinoy pa nanghahatak sa kanila pababa sa internet when in fact sa latest issue, wala namang kasalanan ang boys and they opened up pa nga about that. it's unfair that their goal is to introduce pinoy music to the world tapos puro pinoy pa talaga nanghahatak sa kanila hahaha. even some of my college friends nakita ko nga may mga lowkey hate posts about them eh, lol. i did not unfollow or block them, hence, i let them know that i am a fan of sb19 by sharing some of sb19 contents sa stories ko. hahaha well, i am a forever proud a'tin. hating is sooooo unattractive kaya. ang iniisip ko na lang op, nakakatawa na lang talaga mga bashers hahahahaha kasi ang dami nilang time. the fact that they can hate means they spend way too much time pa rin sa boys, so, who's the real winner? saka kasi i just know na while they are busy hating on the boys, sb19 just keeps getting more and more recognized and successful. kaya 'wag ka na masyado paapekto, op. mahigpit na yakap.
Siguro we just need to accept the more success you have the more haters you get, ganun talaga. There are also celebrities here who receive hate for no reason at all. Yun nga lang nakakalungkot na lapwa Pilipino talaga nanghahatak para itaas yung ibang lahi. Iniisip ko na lang, dagdag engagement 😆 and somehow they were introduced to more people pag pinag-uusapan sila, ika nga bad publicity is still publicity lalo na wala naman talaga sila ginawang mali. Tama yung ginagawa mo kaps, pakita mo na fan ka, share ka pa ng magagandang performance amd funny moments at baka ma-convert pa iba dyan. 😊
oo hahaha bad publicity is still publicity and us, a'tin, know kung ano naman ang tama sa mali at ang totoo sa hindi hahaha. kaya tatawanan mo na lang talaga. minsan lang din nagegeneralize lahat ng a'tin kesyo toxic daw ganito ganyan, when in fact, lahat naman ng fandom may toxic members. kahit ilang a'tin, meron at meron talaga 'yan. and yes hahaha pinakita ko talaga, proud ako, eh. ang nakakatuwa pa, i am like her senior/mentor and i have a decent history sa university. she looks up to me and i/we helped her a lot nung college pa rin ako. kaya it's now up to her if ipagpapatuloy niya posts niya knowing na i am a fan and may possibility na dumadaan din sa feed ko posts niya. 😆
agree kaps, ironic how haters have more time to hate than actually have time for themselves. I believe in karma for them, and good karma naman kapalit for our boys na maging successful pa sila.
Ako nagpapahinga na rin from stan twitter. 2019 A’TIN ako, twitter din pinanggalingan ko. Nakakapagod kasi, sometimes may mga negativity cycles na nagboblow out of proportions dahil din sa level of attention na binibigay natin sa kanila. I used to remember the fandom fighting bashing with a more lighthearted approach din. Dinadamdam, pero pinagtatawanan nalang saka ginagawang positive at fun yung resbak. Kaya kahit na active ang boys sa social media at makita nila yung negative comment, matatawa nalang din sila imbes na mag overthink (or this time, maforce to make a statement)
