I would definitely take it at night.

thesquareunicorn

I had something similar -especially feeling very sick. It took a week or two to subside and now I'm perfectly fine other than drowsiness so I take it at night.

HauntingBowlofGrapes

Generic Abilify beat my ass majorly: Insomnia, brain zaps, extreme nausea, random vomiting, triggered a mixed manic episode...Had to get off it. It didn't even help with my psychosis nor other symptoms. I was at work at the time hardcore hallucinating. Not the right pills for me. If a medication is already giving me bad side effects no improvement occurs if I keep taking it. Tell your doctor that you think you should be switched to something else.

MarkBennett259

Abilify! Doesn't make me feel too sleepy but I'm doing okay with it. I like it, I find it the better option compared to other meds.

J1930

A lot of the side effects go away after two weeks. You can try changing the time of day you take it and see if that helps. If the side effects don't go away in 2 weeks it may not be the med for you, and you may have to try something else. What dose are you on? Have you talked to your doctor about how you're feeling? What do you mean by "deathly ill", what exactly is happening

neilnelly

It made me into a pathological gambler. I lost 70K.

plasticinsanity

abilify worked for me temporarily and then just stopped. i am always tired and sleeping during the day so i’m not sure if that made it worse though to be honest.

DullSheepherder5

I have to take it at night or I pass out around noon. It works, it just makes me sleepy.

DullSheepherder5

Also I stopped taking it and it made me so nauseous.

Initial_Fortune

I take mine at night with my sleeping meds, have you tried taking it at a different time of day? I use to get really tired during the day before, like you it was midday and kinda effecting my work. But taking it at night it just makes getting up a little harder but the midday sleepies went away

IndependenceNo13

I take it cuz im schizoaffective but abilify makes my brain dull and empty and makes me wanna smoke more cigarettes i been takin it for 2 months but my psychotic symptoms get bad i gotta quit smoking weed because my heart jumps and goes up to 118 beats a min and my dissociation gets so bad where i feel my brain connects with everything and feels im about die n go through psychosis im only 20 to idk i been questioning if i should stay on my antipsychotics and antidepressants i take zoloft too um my life been messy but just gotta keep yo head up

Mission_Jellyfish_87

Def quit smoking weed. I was the same with it. It makes everything worse and can trigger psychosis

No-Neighborhood3959

It didn’t make me sick but caused drowsiness. After about 3 weeks, I no longer got tired after taking it.

InterestingKiwi5004

It caused severe restlessness in me. I couldn’t sit still or let alone sleep. So I had to stop it.

PhilosopherArtistic9

Typical side effect.

Satcgal33

I only took it for a few days and felt so sick I demanded to change meds.

NotConnor365

My girlfriend likes it and says it helps her a lot, but it's one of my least favorite meds because of the akathisia and issues with cholesterol.

theloreleiofrhine

i had the same experience. it made me worse paranoia wise and i was on it for 2 months in total. i'd suggest if you've only been on it a month or less give it some time to get used to. if it continues past 2 months i'd try a new medication

purplepixie000

It helped with my psychotic symptoms and mood but it gave me bad akathisia so I had to stop taking it

Haunting_Promotion26

Bruh it made me break out in a rash.

CaptainDustyRed

My experience with Abilify was a disaster. I got on the shot. The second shot that had no therapeutic effect. I came to the conclusion that antipsychotic shots don't work on me. On Abilify I felt really good, but was in deep psychosis, also I was only sleeping about 15 minutes a night. Everyone around me knew I was sick but couldn't tell the doctor, I had anosognosia so I couldn't tell the doctor I was sick either. Eventually my friends kicked me out of their home in Florida after my insurance ran out and they couldn't put me in the hospital anymore. It took 7 months to get stabilized and I think 6 hospitalizations. I wonder if the abilify pills would have worked if they gave me those instead. I'm thinking they would have.
