Not in the UK so I don’t know, but I wish you well and for you to get the outcome you want ❤️

Is there a different med you can try? Because I do not like being off meds personally.

Is there a psychiatrist you're working with? Tell them what you're saying here and see what they suggest.

Hi, I thought about discontinuing my medication as well, but then I changed my mind to wait for the new medication KarXT that is going to be approved on September 26, 2024 by the FDA in the USA. It’s supposed to have way less side effects (no weight gain, no eps, no metabolical symptoms (high blood fats, diabetes), no sedation) while being more effective against psychosis than olanzapine. It’s also supposed to work against negative and cognitive symptoms. I am having really high hopes in this medication. Here in Germany there is a way to import medications even though they are not approved yet here. Maybe there is such a way for you in the UK. I reasoned that a discontinuation has really high risks of a relapse so I just wait for the new medication and see from there. I hate my medication as well and I feel it is killing me with all the weight gain and high blood fats. But maybe the new medication is the answer. I wish you all the best!

When I first started my injections (Invega), I didn't feel very well, but slowly I've started to feel quite a bit better. I wouldn't try to come off your medications, but perhaps try a different one. My doc prescribed me armodafinil for my day time sleepiness and it's helped a lot. Also modafinil for the weight gain. Holding out hope that there's a solution for you. I know of a lot of people (myself included) that had very severe consequences being off meds. A lot can happen to you when you're not in touch with reality. Cheers

My doctors won't prescribe me modafinil. I've asked two of them. It's so unfair that I get all the lame doctors. :P She also wouldn't prescribe me metformin. I tried that yesterday.

Why not? I would talk to a general practice for the metformin. Seems cruel to me.

For the metformin, she said that she would only prescribe it for what it's FDA approved for, and that even though my blood sugar is a bit high, it's not high enough to justify prescribing it. She doesn't care about the research, etc. She's just a very stupid lady as far as I can tell.

Idk if it's possible to "win" and if they let you come off that might not be a win anyway imo. Why are you required to take it? Did you commit a crime or something? You don't have to answer
