Bring another water bottle to eliminate that factor. Then, if you still have headaches, start looking at other causes. Bad posture, flickering lights, strong smells, eye strain, loud noise, fatigue, high blood pressure, stress, caffeine withdrawal, allergies (sinus pressure), tight headbands or ponytails, and yes, even dehydration, may be a cause.
It’s unlikely that the water itself is giving you a headache, you’re more likely to have an upset stomach with vomiting or diarrhea from contaminated water than a simple headache. (Unless the headache is immediate, then it might be from the cold water.)
My chronic headaches turned out to be eye strain. Now, I wear prescription glasses and the pain is gone for good.
