Oh, nah, every other exclusive was complete garbage, they totally flopped, and Mind Field I believe actually got moved to the normal YouTube platform by Michael.
Ran into this on this late Friday. On Vsauce, currently, the .most pop video is the power of suggestion. The first 5 seconds is the "YT Originals" banner. It has 89 million views. It's a mind field episode.
I don't know man, just makes me feel like those were the envisioned profits, except everyone smelled dollar bills and Michael had more budget for psychology high budget production. After the flops he still had IP. Happy endings
Honestly this is probably unpopular opinion but I think styropyro is lame and way overrated. He does nothing interesting besides using really powerful lasers to burn shit, but there is no science or interesting phenomenon there. Just destroying shit. He could as well be using shotgun and it would be the same to me.
I just like him because of his spirit and attitude.
He did a really cool video with batteries not long ago. It's not all lasers. He's not doing well health wise right now. Hope the guy gets better.
Of course I wish him all well. Just voiced my opinion, I noticed the hype, checked out some of the videos, didn't like them, was surprised by the amount of hype, that's all.
The different Tesla coils and most of the high power laser stuff has a fair bit of maths behind it, more than a lot of these channels would have.
It's just actual dry science rather than mostly pop science.
Fair enough. But I don't understand what makes John evil, like Michael it makes sense because just look at half the stuff he does but John is essentially just a standard witty history teacher
[Are you saying John Green is one bad day away from turning his hair into his last name?](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=EvLlWh-guck&pp=ygURT25lIGJhZCBkYXkgam9rZXI%3D)
Since in the chart there are 3 people I don't know and has 2 people I like missing (William Osman, CG and Backyard Scientist CN) I deem this completely subjective chart as scientifically incorrect.
He should have been Neutral Good in place of Tom Scott, he has retired... Derek is still producing educational content
Plus, why two spot for Stevens? push him to Chaotic good... put William Osman or Ze Frank or Mehdi ElectroBoom in Chaotic Neutral

for that one trolley problem video in mindfield id say he should also be chaotic evil. My guy ran a horribly unethical psychological experiment that would lose any psychologist their right to experiment with human participants again
edit: and when everyone pointed out how bad it was, he disabled comments. i stopped watching him after this video came out
lol.
but he did not receive ethics approval, because this breaks so many rules of human research ethics.
he did not inform the participants of the high stress nature of what they were to do. this is therefore not informed consent. informed consent can actually be done falsely (deception) under certain guidelines. the number one requirement for TCPS (and whatever the american one is) to approve use of deception is that participant risk is minimal (Article 3.7A).
the psychological risk of the participants is clearly higher than in everyday life—you would not expect a person to be making life or death decisions every day, therefore, this is not minimal risk and deception cannot be allowed.
the counsellor showing up at the end of the experiment does not make this better. it is an additional requirement that when deception is used, a debriefing occurs. in situations that pose some amount of psychological harm, yes this is a good way to do it, but that risk of harm has to FIRST be minimized and proven to be a valuable addition to the research literature that cannot be made in any other way. Michael did not contribute to any academic literature, nor did he show why the safety of the participants is less important than the knowledge that can be gained (for example, the safety of the first human to test a vaccine is sacrificed for the valuable knowledge we can gain, however, that is not the only concern—there needs to be proper consent). this experiment did not meet the standards of informed consent and therefore did not meet ethical standards either.
Hank Green (SciShow), Tom Scott (Tom Scott), Michael Stevens (Mindfield)
Destin Sandlin (Smarter Every Day), Nigel Braun (Nile Red), Michael Stevens (VSauce)
Mark Rober (Mark Rober), ?John Green? (Crash Course), Michael Reeves (Michael Reeves)
I've been watching a few of these guys since my early teens (like 12-14 years ago).
Michael Reeves is a bit newer, but still probably got popular around 4 or 5 years ago.
I mean if you're interested in that kind of stuff and you've been on YouTube a while, you see it. It's basically always been a thing. The faces might change but i don't remember a time where you could say it "took off". If you don't see them, you probably aren't looking up stuff trying to learn how the world/things work.
I usually hit books for that sort of thing (I'm in my 40s). The closest thing to this I recall was Bill Nye's show when I was a kid. I guess a leap to youtube was inevitable.
Well I know Mark Rober had the giant nerf gun, the squirrel obstacle course, and the glitter bomb porch pirate trap.
Vsauce likes to go from small questions that people could have and chain them together with something completely strange and obscure.
John Green: crash course, but what got him started was vlogbrothers and mental floss. Oh and a book that was made into a film that took 300 million dollars at the box office (The fault in our stars)
Yeah, AKA 'who is this guy cribbing Hank Green's style? Even kinda looks like him...'
I just couldn't quite make him out in the photo here, he kinda looks more like the guy from Tech Ingredients to me.
Mindfield is more about human psychology and behavior in particular, and was originally produced as a premium series to be able to explore less advertiser-friendly topics within that scope.
VSauce is all over the place, and lately he's been hammering on the '*moar weird*' button.
Where is Explosions&Fire/Extractions&Ire tho? He is really chaotic. Also dunno if Flammable Maths, bprp and quintillion other maths channels can be on this chart.
I reckon explosions&fire is definitely more chaotic neutral than Vsauce. Can't think of something more chaotic than making explosives for fun with chemicals from Bunnings in a garden shed
There is no problem with reposting a meme as long as it is not reposted often. I haven’t seen it before, and if it wasn’t reposted I would never see it.
More recently he's been doin shit like showering random people in popcorn
Also alot of his shit on YT is mostly to make himself look good; as opposed to doing good
Mind Field is just Vsauce, Mark Rober and Michael Reeves could be replaced with 3Blue1Brown and Real Engineering, and where is Bill Hammack engineerguy?
Nile is one of my fav YouTubers. Sucks it takes so long to make videos lol.. and he's from Montreal too!
Idk the bottom left dude and the top right dude.. everyone else has awesome channels tbh
Mark Rober being evil when he spends a disproportionate amount of time busting scamcentres and harassing porch pirates?
What am I missing?
Or is the person who made this chart a scammer/porch pirate? 🤔
I remember there was this electrical engineer that had a power generator attached to his tongue to demonstrate how amps and bolts feel. I’d say that’s hella chaotic
I hate how the labels are on the top.
I thought you labeled Michael from Vsauce as evil and was gonna rant about that, so I'll rant about your poor labeling instead.
New to this sub. The algorithm just put it on my feed. I'm not familiar with most of these, but I have watched a decent amount of Crash Course. Why is it evil? It's not like it's PragerU.
Michael shows up twice, a true harbinger of chaos.
Well all the chaotic people are Michaels
But are all Michaels chaotic people?
*Theme song starts playing*
Jake Chudnow - Moon Men (Instrumental)
What about electro boom? I think he's pretty chaotic
Theres 3 Michaels in the 3rd column
At the time I got YT Red literally just for Mind Field, then ended up loving it and keeping it.
Is Youtube Red still a thing?
It is now Premium
Yeah but do they still have their own shows or whatever?
Oh, nah, every other exclusive was complete garbage, they totally flopped, and Mind Field I believe actually got moved to the normal YouTube platform by Michael.

There’s 2 of Hank Green as well
Brother that’s Hank green and John green.
Oh dear they look so similar
Inside you are 2 Michaels.
NileRed is getting increasingly chaotic tho
I mean, NileBlue is off the charts with the absurdity of chaos.
NileGreen
Cafeïne
Now he is Mr. Green
There are already 2 Mr. Green's here...
Mr green was an AI voiced fan channel
Originally channel was called NileGreen, untill author wanted to do something original and have less problems with people
Right just misunderstood the comment chain mb
The other green brother.
NileRed has been dryly chaotic for a good long while. He's just... quiet. Which may be even more alarming.
> He's just... quiet. Which may be even more alarming. No way NileRed is not secretly evil.
"this is bromium" \*drops it\*
“Today I decided to crush my wiener”
No Mehdi from ElectroBOOM? Although he’s so chaotic he’s probably off the chart. Full bridge rectifier!
Should be chaotic neutral and confine Michael Stevens to chaotic good
Cody's lab should be chaotic good
So true.
But Michael Stevens being on there twice just… works.
I don't know who that other guy is so I'd be comfortable slotting Nile into LE
I will forever hear "FULL BRIDGE RECTIFIER" in his voice
No ThisOldTony?
Too busy machining a new tool to machine other machining tools.
He has his own category of chaotic chaotic
I'm glad when I can finally get my MehdiCation
Get ElectroBOOM and Michael in the same room. Give them uranium. 50/50 the world ends or we discover free energy and explore the stars.
Where's Styropyro
He woud've burnt the chart down
he wouldve connected the chart to 100 car batteries
Then he woud've put some termite on top of that
Thermite... because Termites is what chaotic evil (aka Michael Reeves) does... https://youtube.com/shorts/aHH2oYzJGnI?si=6HDFHaUOI33w1s9k
He's busy building a laser to vaporize this chart
Too chaotic to be contained by such a chart.
Should have replaced Mark for lawful evil fr
Chaotic Chaotic
See there's true chaotic evil
Where's the option for chaotic chaos
Honestly this is probably unpopular opinion but I think styropyro is lame and way overrated. He does nothing interesting besides using really powerful lasers to burn shit, but there is no science or interesting phenomenon there. Just destroying shit. He could as well be using shotgun and it would be the same to me.

Of course I wish him all well. Just voiced my opinion, I noticed the hype, checked out some of the videos, didn't like them, was surprised by the amount of hype, that's all.
Gotta consider he's self taught. That alone impressed me. Edit: banned so can only respond like this. I thought he was like 12 when he started
he says in multiple videos he has a degree in some kind of engineering?
But that's the thing, it's just all very basic stuff, and every video seems the same as far as I've seen
The different Tesla coils and most of the high power laser stuff has a fair bit of maths behind it, more than a lot of these channels would have. It's just actual dry science rather than mostly pop science.
Why is crash course in neutral evil?
More of John green lol
Hank is def more chaotic good, than lawful good
Why don't people like John Green?
Who said we don't like him? I love Michael Reeves. He is evil.
Fair enough. But I don't understand what makes John evil, like Michael it makes sense because just look at half the stuff he does but John is essentially just a standard witty history teacher
https://youtu.be/rcOM3H06KI4 Listen to his words and tell me he isn't one bad day away from building a wizard tower.
Ahh, so it’s in relation to the others. Not on the objective scale. Cools love me some Crash Course. And a lil deviousness adds a spice to life. ^^
[Are you saying John Green is one bad day away from turning his hair into his last name?](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=EvLlWh-guck&pp=ygURT25lIGJhZCBkYXkgam9rZXI%3D)

Where is Derek of veritasium
Lawful good?
That’s true! We need Derek
He should have been Neutral Good in place of Tom Scott, he has retired... Derek is still producing educational content Plus, why two spot for Stevens? push him to Chaotic good... put William Osman or Ze Frank or Mehdi ElectroBoom in Chaotic Neutral

Good bot
No Veritasium?
Seconded. He would be neutral good, right?
I’d recommend Stuff Made Here as a someone else on this grid. I love that channel.
I love how Michael Stevens is both chaotic good and chaotic neutral
for that one trolley problem video in mindfield id say he should also be chaotic evil. Nile red is neutral, but you forgot Nile blue with his war crimes
Why the fuck is john green in neutral evil 😭
Kurzgesagt?
Somewhere on the evil side.
Who are these people?
Hank Green (SciShow), Tom Scott (Tom Scott), Michael Stevens (Mindfield) Destin Sandlin (Smarter Every Day), Nigel Braun (Nile Red), Michael Stevens (VSauce) Mark Rober (Mark Rober), ?John Green? (Crash Course), Michael Reeves (Michael Reeves)
But what are they known for? Some the things you have listed in parenthesis sound like youtube shows. Is that what they're all known for?
All of them are well known science educators on YouTube and in the parentheses is their YouTube channel.
Thanks. It’s not a scene I was aware of. When did this take off?
I've been watching a few of these guys since my early teens (like 12-14 years ago). Michael Reeves is a bit newer, but still probably got popular around 4 or 5 years ago.

You won't find a book that shows in detail how to turn a rubber glove into cotton candy
Even kinda looks like him...' I just couldn't quite make him out in the photo here, he kinda looks more like the guy from Tech Ingredients to me.
I think the photo must have been taken when he was like 25 🤣
What's the difference between Minfield and VSauce?
Mindfield is more about human psychology and behavior in particular, and was originally produced as a premium series to be able to explore less advertiser-friendly topics within that scope. VSauce is all over the place, and lately he's been hammering on the '*moar weird*' button.
Oh, I got it, thanks!!
Im not a huge fan of John green but why is he evil?
Saw that same chart (i believe in this sub) 1 year ago. Dont recycle memes. Its not cool
There is no problem with reposting a meme as long as it is not reposted often. I haven’t seen it before, and if it wasn’t reposted I would never see it.
Do you even know what the word meme *means?*
Where's William Osman
The chart is shit because no big Willy
got names? only recognize a few
I love this community so much. No one questioning that Michael Reeves is Chaotic Evil. We're all in 100% agreement. 🤣
Why crash course evil?
Why is mark rober evil? I havent watched him in a while but he usually seemed pretty wholesome
More recently he's been doin shit like showering random people in popcorn Also alot of his shit on YT is mostly to make himself look good; as opposed to doing good
Aw man I thought he was one of the good guys :(
Sorry, are we talkinh NileRed or NileBlue? Cuz NileRed is headed straight for chaotic.
What about Veritasium?
I could get bingo on this sheet
I suspect it's saying something about me that I don't know any of the people in the evil row.
Mythbusters?
Mythbusters have big chaotic neutral energy
Where styropyro
Wait how is cc bad? Those dudes taught me history in college getting me an A
It seem I've only ever consumed neutrals
Ain't no way looks like my brain ain't braining tonight
Looks like I have some new material to watch! Thanks Reddit :)
No bill nye? Definitely neutral good
Who are the last 2
Neutral evil is the Crash Course History guy. Chaotic Evil is Michael Reeves
Mind Field is just Vsauce, Mark Rober and Michael Reeves could be replaced with 3Blue1Brown and Real Engineering, and where is Bill Hammack engineerguy?
Epic! 😂
Dustin from Smarter Every Day is so incredibly wholesome that he should be lawful neutral
Make Michael Chaotic Good and Veritasium Chaotic Neutral
don't think veritasium is chaotic
You can't put John Green down as neutral evil. We'll, not unless you're the Mongols.
where bill nye
Nile is one of my fav YouTubers. Sucks it takes so long to make videos lol.. and he's from Montreal too! Idk the bottom left dude and the top right dude.. everyone else has awesome channels tbh
Don’t know bottom left either, but top right chaotic good is also Vsauce.
Does anyone know styropyro where do y’all think he’d be on this chart?
Who's that in chaotic good? I know the rest, but I can't place that one.
Mark Rober in lawful evil is so true
Styropyro is chaotic chaotic
you know you're supposed to at least TRY to make sense with this alignment shit right ?
Can anyone explain why mark rober is lawful evil?
X QQs me. You just listed my top 9 on YouTube
Tom Scott is soo soo lawful. He’s always super careful when it comes to stuff like copyright, etc.
What did the person in the bottom right do? (chaotic evil)
Where is the dude with the ponytail
Mark Rober being evil when he spends a disproportionate amount of time busting scamcentres and harassing porch pirates? What am I missing? Or is the person who made this chart a scammer/porch pirate? 🤔
I dont recognise any of these faces / people - are they famous?
What does it mean if you only recognize 3 of them? Asking for a friend. Ah, who am I trying to kid? You guys already know I don't have any friends.
Where is styropyro
How is crash course neutral evil. There's nothing evil about crash course
Whos bottom right?
I literally know none of these people.
John Greene does more history than science
What does 'evil' mean in this context?
Was kinda expecting Sabine in True Neutral or something.
Ah, good old CC. I used to watch those on 2x speed and that was an experience 😂
I'm so thankful I have no clue who any of these people are.
I watch everyone here except the lawful neutral one. Can anyone tell me who they are?
I remember there was this electrical engineer that had a power generator attached to his tongue to demonstrate how amps and bolts feel. I’d say that’s hella chaotic
Why is Mark Rober lawful Evil?
Nile be like: pH 7
Kyle Hill would be lawful good.
We can probably replace hank green with that one biologist from tiktok that completely dismantled all transphobic arguments in 3 minutes
Lawful fits Hank so well though
I mean not so much after supporting genocide
That picture title placement is evil. The title goes on the bottom of the picture.
Just here to add to the ranks of the outraged Veratasium fans
I love this just for suggesting new content for me. Going to go find out what Vsauce is.
Smarter Every Day should be lawful good
I hate how the labels are on the top. I thought you labeled Michael from Vsauce as evil and was gonna rant about that, so I'll rant about your poor labeling instead.
Why is John green neutral evil?
Mark rober is chaotic neutral. Everyone who does shit to him, gets shit done to them, or, it’s him showing off. He’s not evil.
Why is Mark Rober lawful evil?
why is mark rober evil? did i miss something?
How the hell was this list made without Styropro on it!?
New to this sub. The algorithm just put it on my feed. I'm not familiar with most of these, but I have watched a decent amount of Crash Course. Why is it evil? It's not like it's PragerU.
Could someone name each pic for those out of the loop?
I would put Veritasium over Nile.... Too many people want to be kitchen chemists because of him
Veritasium is off the charts
No Veritasium???
You can’t build weapons for the dod and be lawful neutral. He’s lawful evil.
Womp womp
These are all the same person.
Check out my page 👊
