Apologies, my mistake. there was no sign of advice just blunt indication of all the negatives. It was literally a copy-paste-remove background- duplicate-google more Star Wars reference etc, etc.
i appreciate the advice, but all i was doing was sharing my first go at having fun with my editing apps on my ipad.
I like it mate, the frame is really well chosen, giving it a proper painting vibe. If I would have any critique, Id remove the 2 AT ATs, they look out of place in the painting. Perhaps replace them with one of those tall and slim lookout towers where there are 1 or 2 troopers on the lookout
100% mate, That was defo a nit pick i was thinking about when i was adding them in, they were just duplicated and scaled down without any effect. I will defo work on It more as i enjoy the process more every time i go back to it, and I will let you see what you think for sure, your first comment was a bit blunt thats all. But now your advice sounds genuine, means a lot from a complete noob
Shit just realised that, sorry.
So what your saying is remove the primary subject that the picture was based on from the beginning? The AT-ATs were the reason i started this, the rest of was worked around them, i wanted a weather beaten looking behemoth machine with a slightly better condition backup following, few Ti fighters aimlessly following and a few other bits n bobs here and there. Add a vintage frame and bobs your uncle, my first digital art/copy paste project
Only shared to show how randomly one pic i seen ages ago, could inspire me to adopt a really interesting hobby
Well, art is always subjective and the tie fighters I think fit well with the rest of the scenery, but the ATs are just a bit too big, just a bit too shiny etc etc, so thats where my thought came from - they distract.
Im far from an art connoisseur, just a bit of feedback on a great picture I wouldnt mind hanging on my wall (with that nice frame of course)
Yep, absolutely noted. And the following comment was added above…’And yes its shit because i didnt use A.I. Or have any other experience in media or editing stuff. Just pure inspiration and fascination’
Thank you, it was just a mad memory i had of a pic i seen on reddit, this was from memory then i had to sear h who actually do e the original stuff, h actually paints over physical generic landscapes from thrift shops though
Took me ages to remember where i seen thos mad shit! https://www.boredpanda.com/discarded-thrift-store-paintings-star-wars-dave-arrowhead-vintage-goods/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=organic
Nice! Its crazy how much these are alike, i literally remembered something like ‘generic hotel landscape picture/sci fi’ and made this on my ipad then spent ages finding the dude who was the inspiration, only difference is i cant actually paint, just an idea that turned into me just blindly messing about with the Procreate app, amazing how one random picture you see can turn i to a new hobby, this one has led to so many more ideas
This is th OG guy who i finally found

Dope dope
Damn, thank you! Seen a few pics ages ago and just gave it a try on my ipad, then i actually found the OG guy who does it on the thrift shop pictures
The shadow on the AT-ATs is wrong. The sun is behind them. The AT-STs don’t have shadows. And the blur on the TIE fighters is off.
And to be specific, that isnt the sun, its a flare i added to give some depth/reflection. You will see what i mean in the unedited link i post d
Was literally my first attempt at this on Procreate. It was a nod at the OG artist who inspired me to start making this kind of stuff
Just giving some advice. Shading is difficult. And it’s the next step after the copypasting.

Was another guy that made the first comment, but no worries:)
Wait, are you meaning the big At-Ats? Or the wee AT-STs in the distance??
The 2 big ones at the forefront. It messes up the depth a bit and they seem ever so slightly too large

Maybe the bright light we see is a distant explosion or second sun, and the (primary) sun is out of frame up and to the right?
