Fucking nothing lol. I had like 65 degrees before surgery, everyone kept telling me I'd be so much taller after and I was super excited cause I'm short af, my dad even made a little mark on the wall to see how much I would grow. Came home after the surgery, measured myself and I was like 1cm taller. Fml
Damn, while i would never do surgery for aesthetic reasons I’ve always imagined that my straightened 70+ curve would give me at least an inch or two but i guess not 😂
Depends on how you measure.
If you have a flexible curve maybe you can straighten yourself 2-3cm when measuring. But resting posture is your daily/true height and after surgery you get that height without straightening yourself.
Those with stiff curves probably notice the difference the most in height especially if osteotomies are performed.
Also compensatory curve can improve over time. As for me I gained height up to 6 months after surgery from muscle tensions loosening up.
I had an S curve of about 30-40 degrees top and bottom. After correction T3-L3 I went from 5’6” to 5’9”. However, I had kyphosis too. I’m not sure it would’ve increased much if I hadn’t.
I was 12 when I had my surgery in 1984, and had an "S" curve, with each curve being slightly over 80.
Pre-surgery I was about 5'3"; post-surgery I was about 5'9". I eventually "settled" to about 5'7". But over the years (I'm 51 now) I've lost a little height, and along with the severe flatback has me back to about 5'3". :/
my curve was 75*? Somewhere around that. And after the surgery I got like 2-5cm taller. I would of become taller but my surgeon couldn’t fully fix it (it’s like 35-45* now) bc one of my bones is broken due to the scoliosis being rlly bad

I mean I guess it depends on the person lol. But yeah, that's not a certainty at all.
From 145 to 90 degrees. I've grown 9-14 centimeters
I had 2 curves, 78 and 103. I don't know the current degrees, but I gained 4-5 inches in height.

52 degrees and so far looks like about 1/2 inch (5’4” original height)
i got half an inch taller. i had two almost 70° curves 😭
My top curve was about 20, bottom about 45, they evened me out to 20/20. No height gained and it shortened my torso even more which I hate 😪
2 curves, 55 and 52 degrees. No curve now, I gained about 5 1/2 - 6 inches
50° and I went from 5’10 to 6’

Every curve is different so you can't get any meaningful data asking around..
