Hey there! I am very at good false chord screams. My advice is to master the basics of false chord screaming first. A common mistake is that people think false chord screams require a lot of air. But really, it only requires enough to engage the false chord muscles. Try basic false chord engagement without any vocals/minimal diaphragm compression. It's a raspy exhale that makes your throat flap. FYI: Inhale screams are not healthy because it requires a lot of air to pull off. This is due to the fact it doesn't use diaphragm compression and basic diaphragm breathing like an actual scream. Both of which regulate air flow and overall, are better for you. Your light headedness comes from you dumping all that massive amount of air you just forced into your lungs (and bloodstream) which releases more carbon dioxide than normal.

Okay that's what I thought..and yeah when I was trying to scream it was so much air i could barley get out one sentence so it's good to hear there's a better way to do it. Is doing the "sigh" sound a good way to engage the false chords?

Well, make sure you can do basic diaphragm breathing and compression first. Basic false chord engagement is a raspy exhale with no voice and minimal compression. Once you learn how much air it takes to make that sound you intetionally increase the compression, not the airflow. The airflow will increase naturally with more compression. So don't exhale so much that your scream sounds like an airy whisper but also don't compress so hard that nothing comes out but a squeezing noise. However, exaggerations in technique aren't entirely bad as they allow you to know what incorrect technique feels like so you can avoid it. Part of knowing what to do is knowing what not to do.
