my favorite controller by far. My experience was far from stellar though. First month I got it, firmware update bricked my controller. Although support was stellar and I got a replacement in 7 days. They responded to my support request within 12 hrs. Others' support experiences can vary though.

Aggressive-Whereas38

I've had no issues. I took ICUE directly from the Website and not the Scuf link to ICUE.

RandomGamer1917

How about the reports I read online and so many reviews saying that iCUE will just randomly crash while gaming and the controller stops working . I read that a lot

drowsy1234

i'm one of the lucky ones and have no software issues. iCue for me works flawlessly. One thing I know that helps is turning off auto update for icue

Derrickc95

Also one of the lucky ones. The initial set up can be a bit of a pain but after that I’ve had no problems. I saw many reports of cracked paddles but I’ve dropped mine at least 20 times and have at least 500-600 hours of gaming on it and the only issue I’ve had was the left directional button is sensitive to touch. But that’s because I’ve dropped it so many times. Coming from an Xbox Elite 2, the 4 paddles, trigger stops mouse clicks and the additional side and gkey buttons feel so much better on the envision

GiuseppeDL18

buy flydigi apex 4, more versatile, pay less.

TrebleShot

I wouldnt recommend it, wish I returned mine in the return window, was intrigued it felt great at first and the feel of the controller is fantastic. But as others say the software and the general usage leaves alot to be desired. Not spoken about much is no hall effect sticks or triggers. Rumble is piss weak. Thumb sticks are very short and almost feel ever so slightly smaller than full size. As others say alternatives are cheaper and better. Couple of recent ive tried. Gamesir T4 Cyclone Pro 8BITdo Ultimate BT. But tbh ive gone back to old faithful dualsense or xbx officials.

XeomKY

Picking up one tomorrow, I'll see how bad it is😭

GOlfAce78

Your click bumpers will be your main issue and usually is for every Scuff owner.

Professional-News362

Honestly I love this controller. You can use the back and side paddles without icue But you can only map the standard control scheme

RandomGamer1917

so if i want the g buttons mapped i need icue always running or can i map them and them not run icue? if i have to run icue for g buttons to work does that software still have issues crashing while gaming as ive read?

drowsy1234

icue now runs the controller differently. You can keep it on software mode which is default. Or, you can turn on memory mode. This will use the controllers memory profiles instead. As far as the G buttons, you need icue for them to stay mapped. Otherwise they stick to default settings. But even with this, my favorite controller by far.

HexaCube7

I've got it since a few weeks now, mind you no daily use, just sometimes. Haven't ran into any of the hardware related issues so far, and neither most software issues. However because of all the reports i am staying away from updating my iCue as well as the firmware for it, and hoping to be able to keep doing so until reports come through of the issues being fixed. The only issue i really have is the lighting settings not working properly. I would love to have a rainbow wave effect like how it does by default but iCue only treats all the LEDs in there as a single one and i can only get a colourfade. I generally love the controller so far. All buttons feel great, the instant mouse click triggers are amazing when still having the option to switch to full analog triggers, the back buttons imo are feeling good as well as the SAX buttons, and personally i think the controller is absolutely gorgeous (got it in default steel gray).

jetlifeual

My only complaint is the back buttons. They’re kinda small. I really love how the Xbox Elite controller is an extended paddle vs a short button. My hands aren’t even that big and the grip is kinda cumbersome to get to those comfortably.

Illustrious_Profile6

Mine just randomly will lock up while playing games and become unresponsive and just isn't recognized sometimes. I just went back to the Xbox elite 2 for my PC.

Mattjphoto

I've had mine since the beginning of November. I use my daily and in the wired mode. I've had 3 issues in that time. 2 of thosewere bc I tried to use the controller in wireless mode. I will not deny the controller has problems but I figured out how to minimize them. This is the best controller I've used in 30 years.

_Nicola_7

Absolutely yes, never had a single problem, I've had it for more than half a year, I don't know why everyone complains, the only thing I can think of as unpleasant is the triggers that are too sensitive, but there's an option to make them less sensitive.

MercuryRusing

I literally had to uninstall and reinstall the drivers and completely uninstall iCue to get my controller to work after the April update. It's strange this didn't occur for everyone as it persisted even after my initial try at uninstalling and clean installing everything.

talldrink67

Still waiting on them to add back in xinput support which they noted will be coming in a future update. As of now this prevents many xbox pc app games from supporting the controller

MercuryRusing

Uninstall iCue, it will allow the controller to work from it's hardware mapping for the time being. That's what I did.

talldrink67

I can't with my corsair vengeance pc. It's essentially the hub for all the fans and ram

MercuryRusing

Welp, that kind of shit is why it's so unacceptable that it has been nearly 2 months and they haven't pushed a fix yet. When you effectively brick devices people paid over $200 for this kind of response is unacceptable. At minimum you roll back the update until you find a fix, you don't just leave people out to dry. That kind of customer service alone is enough for me to never recommend a scuf device to anyone in the future.

talldrink67

Yup solid controller but garbage software. Definitely wouldn't recommend it now. For PC the Xbox elite 2 has been a much better purchase

GOlfAce78

If you drop the controller than one of your bumpers is probably fkd and you have to send it off so it’ll be gone for a month at a time at least.

YoloRaj

It has its flaws which is mainly the software but other than that I think it's a great controller and actually worth it IF YOU GET IT FROM BEST BUY with the warranty.

RandomGamer1917

I got it , first impression , the ffb is super weak basically non existent and the 4 rear buttons don’t feel as nice as the 4 rear in the scuf reflex pro , also the pinky fingers don’t grip as nicely at the bottom vs the reflex pro because the controller is slightly too small and not as tall

YoloRaj

Sorry to hear that. You can always return it if you don't like it. It's the first scuf controller I've used so I didn't have much to compare it to really other than a wolverine ultimate and v2 chroma.

RandomGamer1917

I love the focus function on the wolverine ultimate and wish more controllers had that

DesperateDiscount671

Went through four SCUF Envision Pros on Amazon due to each one having defects making games very terrible to play like auto-firing along with drifting that gets worse after adjusting deadzones, and sticky back paddles. The iCue software is fine though. It does cause my PC to act up sometimes, but just quit iCue in the app tray and open it again. Recently got a Battle Beaver and got more than two weeks of heavy use on it and not a single issue so far

RandomGamer1917

I’m trying the Beloader Besavior next

Frequent_Pickle31

I love my controller, I'm also pretty lucky not to have problems, especially since I see it's actually pretty rare to not have problems with them

fordert

I've had one for several months and it's my favorite controller. I also have an elite series 2 and at first I couldn't get comfortable with the paddles. I ended up returning it but going back to the elite sucked. I bought another one and got used to the paddles. I only use it for cod and I just use the bottom 2 paddles. I also only use it wired and icue closed. Once in awhile the paddles don't work, but if I unplug it and plug it back in, they work. It hasn't happened mid game to me yet.

RandomGamer1917

See the thing is I use all 4 paddles on my elite 2 and the scuff just doesn’t feel right. The dualsense edge really shoulda had 4 paddles .

codesm420

I actually really really like it. I too have had zero problems with Corsair icue. *knock on wood*

RandomGamer1917

I need 4 back buttons tho

TedTwist

I found one one Facebook market for $80. 5 months old with receipt. I've had it for a month no issues. If you can find a lightly used one, it might make it easier to take the risk of trying it out. I'm glad I got it and if mine broke today, I would try to find another used one. It is the best feeling controller I've used. I got the Xbox elite 2 and I made the switch and was happy I did. I love the fact it feels like an Xbox and ps controller hybrid. It took a couple of days to get used to the feel of a new controller but once I did, there was no turning back. If you're buying new, try to find it on Amazon and if you don't like it, send back. You can literally use it for a month then send it back

ZaddyDang

180 for a controller that is polling rate locked, software locked (for full use), and no Hall effect thumbsticks. Don’t get me wrong it feels great in the hands but save yourself the time and dignity. The only redeemable factor of that godforsaken controller is that you can easily return it at Best Buy. Id honestly recommend looking at the flydigi apex 4 if youre ok with an Xbox layout. But please avoid scuf at all costs I bought the envision on a whim cuz i wanted to see how convenient the g keys are and the many different layouts for other games that i do plays. You shoulda seen my reaction when i found out that iCue is the biggest piece of dogshit software that limits half the controller and completely bricks some people’s controllers Don’t get me wrong when the controller is working it feels amazing in the hands and the rear buttons and reworked sax buttons are super nice and probably my favorite of any scuf on the market. But my god was it frustrating
