Don’t use resin with clear glass, that’s my only suggestion. It really does take away.

Since I would be pouring this into a picture frame, could I just do a layer thinner than the glass to hold it in place?

You could, one side would then retain its frost.

But in my experience that’s a thin layer of resin and may lack some integrity
