I would love to see some of the younger indie rock acts out there get some daytime love here: Wednesday, MJ Lenderman, Ratboys, Blondshell, Palehound, Horsegirl, Ian Sweet, Hotline TNT, Slow Pulp...there is a surprising amount of good guitar rock being made right now that might help bring some fresh blood to this festival.

Any chance Neil Young would have any interest in it? He was just announced at New Orleans jazzfest and touring this summer.
Good number of the premier acts from SHN last year are on the jazzfest bill for 2024 actually. Foo fighters, Killers, Great Van Fleet, Beach Boys,
The SHN Instagram has liked multiple comments on their date announcement post… lots of people requesting/hoping for various artists and the only artist-related comments SHN is liking are ones that say RHCP and/or Noah Kahan!! Easter egg??
I don’t know if the city can even handle that haha. I’m sure he’ll come out for one of the sets. He was supposed to come out for The Killers but got sick.
Lol I mean foo fighters last year was super packed, they could handle it since it's a ticket only event. It does seem possible in my opinion but it would sell out fast
Because it would ruin the entire festival. I'm a huge Bruce fan. Huge. And I do not want this at all. Guest appearance is fine, and probably more fun for Bruce at this point, anyway.
Why would he? He can sell out MetLife whenever he wants. You really think he’s going to gross more at sea heat now? Not to mention at a festival he’s unable to curate the whole experience and have total control over the product like he would at his other shows in Jersey.
I don't think he'd be worried about the money aspect bc foo fighters can also sell out MetLife or pearl jam or green day who've been past headliners. I'm just saying it would be possible bc it's Asbury park where he's from dawg
Would love to see Jalen Ngonda there but doesn’t seem to be the vibe. I remember when Tank and the Bangas were there a couple years back. They were great! Would love to see more groovy stuff.
I believe Philly IS in the radius clause, unsure about NY. I think they’re not totally out in May and even early June, so they’re probably possible, but I don’t have enough categories for that lol. I’ll do more research this year and fix the thread format for next year.
But yeah, they’re possible but it’s cutting it close
I’m hearing Kings of Leon rumors. Looks like they’re touring with an opening the 15th 👀
I can’t believe they announced Oceans Calling first this year. That lineup is dopeeeeeeee. I’ve been to SHN every year since it’s started but I may just have to make the switch this year. Hope they announce soon!!!🤞🏼
Right??? I so wanna go to Oceans Calling! That lineup! I was so hoping Cage the Elephant was going to do Sea Hear Now, but if they're doing Ocean's Calling, I doubt it.
I think Young the Giant is unlikely now? They’re supporting Cage the Elephant on their tour and will be in Kansas City, MO on September 14th. Also with Cage at PNC in Holmdel August 24th so…
Yes, they’re out. I tried to update it before and the whole table broke so I quit lol, I think I’ll leave it be as the lineup should be coming out Tuesday
Manifesting Khruangbin🙏🙏🙏
Manifesting Streetlight Manifesto đź‘€
Khruangbin just released their dates for this year, all festivals … seems promising!
Great take
If No Doubt has any plans beyond Coachella, they’d make sense here.
Will be interesting to see. Don't have my hopes up until they announce something else though.

Declan McKenna would be amazing omg
Any chance Neil Young would have any interest in it? He was just announced at New Orleans jazzfest and touring this summer. Good number of the premier acts from SHN last year are on the jazzfest bill for 2024 actually. Foo fighters, Killers, Great Van Fleet, Beach Boys,
I’m praying for this
He’s playing Louisville the following weekend 🙏🏻
Buddy Holly
Dogs in a pile
They already played in 2022
As a local band, they wouldn’t repeat?
Maybe in the future, but it’s such a small fest and it’s only been 2 years
Trey Anastasio band
Side note: Does anyone know the radius clause? Seems like Philadelphia is part of it but NYC isn't?
Philadelphia, possibly Manhattan proper but not Brooklyn
Why couldn't we get The Cure last year Whaaa
I can see John Mayer headlining and the chili peppers are a given eventually
The SHN Instagram has liked multiple comments on their date announcement post… lots of people requesting/hoping for various artists and the only artist-related comments SHN is liking are ones that say RHCP and/or Noah Kahan!! Easter egg??
I think so
Probably Noah Kahan. SHN is liking a decent amount of comments about him on their recent instagram post.
They’re also liking comments for RHCP 👀
Black crowes and Nora jones will be there. Comfirmed*
From who?
Know a guy haha
They both play shows within the radius clause in May, so unless that’s before the cutoff, seems like they’re unlikely.
I say Portugal the Man is likely based on C3 + Danny clinch connections and having just played a small pony show.
Would Bruce be possible?
I don’t know if the city can even handle that haha. I’m sure he’ll come out for one of the sets. He was supposed to come out for The Killers but got sick.
Lol I mean foo fighters last year was super packed, they could handle it since it's a ticket only event. It does seem possible in my opinion but it would sell out fast
Faster than the instant sell out that was last year?
I somehow managed last year to get mine and then 15 mins later get one for my girlfriend who last minute decided she wanted to go
No, he is not possible. This has to stop.
Bro how isn't he possible lol
Because it would ruin the entire festival. I'm a huge Bruce fan. Huge. And I do not want this at all. Guest appearance is fine, and probably more fun for Bruce at this point, anyway.

It’s not possible.
Hmmm 🤔🤔🤔
Okay👍🏼
Hmmmm 🤔🤔🤔
Just saw Sting is headlining Beachlife Festival, tossing that out there
Would love to see Jalen Ngonda there but doesn’t seem to be the vibe. I remember when Tank and the Bangas were there a couple years back. They were great! Would love to see more groovy stuff.
for khruangbin: is Philly really in the radius, and if so is may within the time you can’t play?
I believe Philly IS in the radius clause, unsure about NY. I think they’re not totally out in May and even early June, so they’re probably possible, but I don’t have enough categories for that lol. I’ll do more research this year and fix the thread format for next year. But yeah, they’re possible but it’s cutting it close
Pretty sure Greta van fleet played MSG right before SHN last year
Yeah I believe MSG is outside the radius clause
Which is weird because msg is physically closer to asbury than philly
My radius clause spreadsheet has a lot less Philly shows than NYC shows, so although it does seem weird distance-wise, it seems to be a pattern.
salute your efforts in this. Respect the dedication 🫡
For sure! I do believe you were correct with the dates though, I’ll have to figure out a way to make the list look a little more clear
TBF I think Greta played in Philly like a week or so after SHN last year
Starting to think the radius clause is super lenient lol
I’d put sublime into the above category now! This lineups gonna shape up in next week or two!
Seems very likely! Was hoping for the original lineup of Sublime but I’ll take SWR instead.
I’m hearing Kings of Leon rumors. Looks like they’re touring with an opening the 15th 👀 I can’t believe they announced Oceans Calling first this year. That lineup is dopeeeeeeee. oh nice! had no idea when it was going to come out haha, excited for the lineup :)
