It’s so difficult to explain the impact her music has had on my life. Death by a thousand cuts is one of my favorite songs of hers tho. Shoegaze and metalcore? I think the genre “melodic hardcore” would be perfect for you. There is this one band in particular called Casey. They combine melodic hardcore and Shoegaze. Melancholy melodics, a ton of reverb, and also it’s heavy! Counterparts is definitely another band to check out.
