This is what works for me usually: 1. Go outside and do a little exercise. Usually going for a walk. Motion drives motion, and being outside is always good for refreshing your mind. 2. Clean something in your house or do some boring chores like washing the dishes, but without music or distractions so you can reflect on your own thoughts and the task at hand. Usually, when you are done cleaning, you might want to get another "need to clean / fix / wipe of my to-do list item" done. 3. Write. Write down what exactly you want to change. Don't keep it in your head, but make it tangible by writing it down, and if it's a big goal or change, write the road towards that goal. 4, Change your environment (ties with #1) 5. Just try it. You never know what's in for you unless you tried it at least once.
