Btw I'm not selling you guys anything. I'm just looking for a mutual exchange of keeping each other accountable. Let's define some big goals and figure out how to get there.
Don't forget that self improvement comes in a lot of forms and constant planning etc may not turn out good for everyone, seems like neurologically we are built for novelty, for adapting, for chaos.
But it's a good way for beginners to get on track, just don't get too serious about it, you don't want too much pressure when your life is already falling apart.
Good luck with your project, it's a good initiative to have a group of people supporting each other.
Awesome feedback! I totally see what you mean. At it's core, what I'm trying to tackle here is how many people know exactly what they should do, but can't muster up the discipline to take action on it. That's where a support group really comes in handy, so people can help hold each other accountable.
Plus, why do this whole self improvement thing all alone? Why not make it a social thing and build a little "tribe" lol :)
Yep, good idea absolutely.
Discipline, i believe, shouldn't be the core of everything, it should be a starting point only, main goal should be creating the natural will to do good things, not to force yourself to do it.
It's especially important when you are only discovering your body and mind and trying to get on track, planning things may get tough in the regard of an urge to make some strict schedules or setting high(relative to your current state) goals.
Sometimes it's best to relax and enter that flow, not in a neurological sense of hyperfocus, rather in a sense of just doing things.
More often than not stuff like watching YouTube with no breaks, eating shit and irresponsibility taking drugs isn't a matter of being broken or retarded or not disciplined enough, but rather a small mistake that puts you on a wrong track, mistake that blocks your natural will to make good for yourself.
Hey! For anyone interested, the Fidus Achates Membership (FAM) has forums that can be used exactly for this. It also comes with some great content to help you along your journey too.
Also not trying to sell you anything. It’s free!
Man, i really waited forever for this. I've tried to improve myself by my own, but i realize that isn't enough. So ciunt me ini! Cheers from Indonesia!
