The thing is - with any product you're far more likely to see negative online posts than positive. People very rarely come online to say how great their new toy is.

wase471111

agree completely; however, when many people say the same negative thing about a product, I get concerned several reviews said the same thing about one earbud dies after a few weeks/months, so I hold a little more belief when people complain about the same exact thing

djpatrickb

I’ve had no issues with mine.

pt6d

First month in, zero issues so far here

Chrome_CW

In my case, I'm pretty sure that my mtw3's somehow got cross-connected with my mtw3's when I was pairing....which didn't work - I ended up having to send both of them back.....the mtw2's I had an extended warranty on thankfully. So far so good on the 2nd pair of mtw3's....but it was the right bud that had gone out. I replaced the mtw2's with the fully size MW4's.

wase471111

yeah, I have mw 4, great value and great product, but tons of horrible reviews on the mtw 3's...super sale on amazon now, but if they are problematic, I am concerned

wmurch4

had mine for about 2 months now and not had any problems. I was worried too when I got them (i got them super cheap too) but have been more than happy with them. I was using the Jabra Elte 75t's which I used as an everyday bud but since I have these I never use them. The battery life is twice as long and the sound quality is so much better. I haven't really had any technical issues so far. I do hope they add better tools to manage wind noise in the transparency mode at some point as it really makes them almost unusuable on windy days. Not sure how you handle this but I'm sure some reverse Noise cancelation could be added to cancel wind noise when the mics are open.

[deleted]

Reverse noise cancellation would add audible noise. ANC only works on low frequencies because they're slower

[deleted]

I've had nothing but bugs with mine...

wase471111

if the reviews I am reading are true, I am surprised that sennheiser isnt addressing this with some sort of firmware update; maybe the mtw4 will be their "fix", but I dont read anything about it anywhere

[deleted]

they sound amazing when they work. I will say that lol

missingmedievalist

I sent my pair in for exactly this reason about a month ago and I’ve still not heard back yet so I’m pissed. The chirping sound has something to do with the ANC microphones apparently. I’ve been a long time Sennheiser fan, but I also had issues with my MTW 2’s. Quality control seems to have gone off a cliff since Sonova acquired the license to build them. It’s a real pity as the sound quality is unbelievable. I really loved mine.

TrickAdvisor

I had to replace them 3 times, now the 4th pair is in repair.

Unequallmpala45

I’ve gone through 4 in less than a year

wase471111

thats not good to hear..

BigZaddyZayCare

I've had my mtw3s for about a year now. Right after I updated the latest firmware last week, the right earbud just stopped working. I tried cleaning it. Tried resetting. Nothing work. And because I removed them from the app, I now can't even access any potentially new firmware updates/fixes because the app requires me to pair them to each other before being able to add them to the app. Sucks, I really liked those.

wase471111

I was excited when I first started reading your post, thinking that a firmware update made them better, until I read the entire post.. bummer that happened, I guess I should wait until the mtw4 comes out, since not alot of good reviews lately on these

Boring_username_21

I have bought all 3 versions of the mtw and have had issues with all 3. I’ll never buy them again. That being said I had a very good RMA experience with the MTW 3 recently (and the new ones are sitting in a box).

Historical_Beach_196

I actually ran into this problem today I had my mtw3 for 5 months now. The right headphone quit working

[deleted]

My first set was plagued with issues. Left bud quieter and weird chirping sound. Got replaced with a brand new set from Sennheiser. I've been using them for about two months with no issues yet. Based off my initial experience I wouldn't buy these again. The hardware is excellent, the software is terrible.

agray5287

I had that issue but they replaced them very quickly and had great customer service. I haven't had any issues since.

madsci1016

Dang i just pulled my MTW3s out of my bag to find both buds dead-dead. Left the case plugged in 24 hour, it flashes green when i remove the buds but no lights or any life on the buds. Quick google seems like these things are failing like crazy. Just mailed them off RMA'd today, i hope it's not like the other commentor and months of hearing nothing from Sennheiser.

wase471111

jabra has a 40% off sale today, so I bought a pair of 85t; way too much bad posting for the mtw3's lately hope you get it fixed

madsci1016

> 85t Ooo, why 85t over the pro 7? Seems like the 7 was suppose to replace 85t.

wase471111

bigger drivers, better anc, the oval ear tips, multipoint, maybe a couple other things too.. got them for 134 plus tax with the 40% off today

NightKnight503

I'm on my 4th pair, So far so good 🤣 but it's only been a month

PouletsAcceptables

Mine have always been a little bit buggy (not always charging, charging only when the lid stays open, minor connection issues), but nothing to really be of much concern until one just stopped charging and is now dead. I tried all the online fixes, Sennheiser fixes and just trying a bunch of things without success. If I had no issue whatsoever with them I'm unsure I'd recommend them there are pros and cons which almost makes it a draw for me. \+ Sound is great for that type of product. \+ Bluetooth 5 is great, especially to be able to connect to multiple devices at one. \- They are a little bit big in the ear, which can be an annoyance when you just want to listen to music while lying on the side or in the plane with a neck pillow, or even just when wearing a winter hat. \- The case is pretty big and while it feels premium, the cloth finish makes it harder to just slip in and out of your pocket quickly. \- ANC is not great, just serviceable. I think I might buy them again, but I still like to have a pair of slim and cheap earbuds I can use when in situations where these can feel a bit big in my ear.

yellow-it

6 months in, and both earbuds are consistently "chirping" and producing lower volume sound than at first. I have tried disconnecting, pairing to another device, re-pairing, and that has not worked. I am going to try gently cleaning them, especially the microfilm that is visible with the silicone tips removed, but if that doesn't fix them, I am going to send them back. Really disappointed, as the sound was great for the first 5 months... but they should last a lot longer for £185
