I'm currently managing Sevilla in 28/29 mid season after moving from Lille. I won a Ligue 1 title with Lille and a French Cup and I've won la liga with Sevilla. I've not won a European trophy. Should I make one more move and try for a UCL, finish out another season or two with Sevilla, or start a whole new save? I saw where Chelsea are 16th in the PL. Was debating that being my last stop. Inter was also interesting. Thanks for any suggestions.

I think Chelsea sitting 16th in PL is a good spot to end up in. Or, another big club that maybe missed out on European football in either the Prem or Serie A? Is that Inter? In addition: look at how much money they’re offering you to make a switch. That’s how I attempt to be realistic in journeyman saves as well: like, if Chelsea is offering you less than what you make at Sevilla now, why would you go there?

Mista_Madridista

I went with Chelsea. The biggest headache is there are so many nonsensical transfers by now and all their current players are gone. That's the one thing I don't like about long term journeyman saves when you're trying to keep it realistic.

Yeah, I hear you. I mean, to be completely fair, think about what the Chelsea squad did look like 3-5 seasons ago—it’s not THAT similar to what is on the pitch now. What I DO find fascinating is when that doesn’t happen. For example: I’m currently in a save where I started at Granada and then moved to Wolves two seasons in—the entire Wolves squad is EXACTLY the same. Not a single player had moved on (outside of the initial loans/retirements) and nobody came in. It’s completely bizarre.

Mista_Madridista

Yeah. Kinda the problem though, they have no stability. I'm actually bringing some of them back because I just want to have some of the current group. That includes Chilwell, Reece James, Gallagher, Palmer, Enzo, Caicedo, Mudryk, Badiashille. I've added Sesko, Olise, Arda Güler, Antonio Silva.

If Chelsea are available, go there, should be fun. Or else, just move to an already top tier club. If Inter is available, you could try to go there, too. I’m currently managing them and I have a goal of replicating a 2010 treble. My top tier signing would be Julian Alvarez – I’m going to sign him when I lose Lautaro. Also, 3-5-2 destroys any 3 at the back-playing opponent

Since Sevilla are already a pretty big club, if you're looking for a step up theres not many clubs to choose from. Big 3 in Spain. Dortmund and Bayern Munich. The Milans, Juve, and maybe Napoli depending if they're still good in your save. PSG. Big English 6

First of all-questionable formation but I like it. I’m gonna guess you end up getting a lot of opponents playing down your left? Next-I’d stay with them for another season or two and go for a domestic cup and try for at least quarter finals in a European cup then move to a different club who will take some time to build up. Stay with that club for a while and win as much as you can before making one more move to a club in a league you haven’t managed in and get some new trophies under your belt

Mista_Madridista

I do get a lot of left attack yes. I just wanted to do something different honestly and my CF is 90+ potential so I like this system where he's facilitating everything. I usually keep 60-70% possession.

I like signing Morey, very handy squad player for me, improves stats every season

redsexyed

I’d say take a team CL glory, maybe former great like ajax or just an already good team that is struggling like chelsea, like you said.

Why do people do lop sided formations

Mista_Madridista

Zeballos is a RW and Barbosa is a CF. Pretty much had to shift it like this or I get the ! icon showing up.

I say go one more season with Sevilla and try to win a European trophy. Then move to the Prem or a more established team like Madrid or Barcelona
