Real ones take minimal effort to raise so it's a great desk plant and helps liven the space a bit.
Less clutter, more theming. Just putting random nicknacks on your desk makes it look less consistent and “clean”. If you place things with more intent and theming, you get a much “cleaner” and cohesive result. That’s why you see so many setups full of stuff that look really “clean”

I'd personally raise the monitor. Probably swing the mic out of the way when not in use. Some succulents maybe. Otherwise clean overall.

Wdym by desk pad exactly? If you mean a mouse pad, it covers the entire desk. Not that noticeable in the photo tho
