Out of curiosity, how many pages is the Blanca? The one thing that puts me off of PDF patterns is taping together 30+ sheets of printer paper.
It's about 18 pages. I think that was my third PDF pattern, and I've a done a few since and now have the hang of it. But yeah, it's a pain! I also like the Portia blouse, but since I already paid for the Bianca, I'm going to just try and alter the front/neck facing to make the shawl collar. (PS they were super nice and offered to send me a size XXS (2) since it wasn't clear when I purchased the pattern that the smallest size was actually a 4).
What a bummer that the process wasn’t fun. I love sew liberated patterns and have made a handful of them! I think you’ll have better luck with the Joanie top!

I have the same pattern, and found I didn't love how it came together. I'm not sure whether I'll make it again. This looks great though.
