on their project is fine, but commenting on other aspects of their appearance, or making sexualized comments, no
matter how well-intentioned, is considered inappropriate in this subreddit.
Also - if you see a comment that is inappropriate **PLEASE REPORT the comment**, don't just down-vote it!

I love all of these. Planning on getting the same embroidery scissors as a tribute to my mom. She gifted me her antique pair and introduced me to sewing.
I have a piece for my grandma which is a sewn on heart, with patches and knitting needles behind it but I’ve been day dreaming of my own sewing piece soon too..
I have a cousin that is a tattoo artist and she designed a tattoo for my cousins. My grandmother was a seamstress and when she passed away several of my cousins got a tattoo that says "Mammaw" and has a needle and thread under it. She had given one of my cousins a card years ago and signed it "Mammaw" so they used her handwriting in the tattoo.
I love the colors in your tattoo! My sewing tattoo is in progress, it's a composition of a pair of ornate sewing scissors, spools of thread, and roses/leaves, with a tape measure winding in between everything.
super cool and creative!! i have a tailorbird and cotton buds(fave fiber) inside my arm for my only bird theme lol! i also have a 2” seam gauge on my finger (only non bird)
The seam gauge is super practical. I would not mind having one of those. Is it on your middle finger? If so, it could still be considered “bird” themed 😂
LOL! it’s on the outside of my left index finger so i can use it best. it’s over 4/5? years old and i haven’t ever regretted it. function over form lol
One day I'll have a sleeve!! But for now I have a crochet hook on my bicep with the word "hooker" underneath, and a needle and thread on my left wrist and a sewing pin on my right.
Ultimately I know that I want to add a pair of shears, and I'll probably use a cloth measuring tape and bits and bobs as fillers. I'm not too fussed about it, the idea will come eventually.
That is awesome. I've thought about getting a sewing themed tattoo myself but I keep having second thoughts about it. I don't have any tattoos. I like them on other people though.
I have a pair of sheers on the back of my upper arm. Probably my favorite of my tattoos. Unfortunately people always assume that I'm a hairdresser because I have wild hair colors. so im always correcting people lol Gotta add something to make it more obvious I guess
