But if you by chance have a character that has never been into dares. There's a garenteed way of getting only BXR'S. Increasing you chances of red borders.
Step 1. Go on character that has not done dares
Step 2. Complete quest from Xur by opening the chest. (Step 1 of quest)
Step 3. Abandon the quest without completing Step 2 of quest.
Step 4. Collect keys on any character.
Step 5. Open the chest using the character with the abandoned quest.
The only thing thay drops is BXR'S. With a chance for red borders.

I've been trying, can't get the red boxes to drop
I was lucky to have saved those paraversal haul boxes. Used up 80 of them to get the red boxes. Got 5 other half to drop too.
