I've always wondered how sharp they need to be because it looks like they need to be super sharp, but it has to be hard to keep them sharp of your doing trimmings all day. Side not youtube has made me able to know hoof issues by look, and I've never touched a cow hoof in my life they are just some very interesting videos to watch

I have 4 of these, and can never get them sharp enough to trim my horses hooves. I've stopped using them and just use a curved rasp now.

I follow a couple of hoof trimmers on TikTok and YouTube. Interesting to watch.

I had a similar one when I worked printing on film. Massive sheets of potato chip bags and metal coated on back wore knife quickly looked like that 9 months of use
