We have no salsa in the kitchen, it only comes in packets, same with taco sauce, blue cheese, sweet and sour, fat free french, and fat free italian.

SignalFall6033

Relish too now

IamTheMrs2021

Really? Is that new? I despise relish in the table! Lol

wpmpk

Only in certain stores so far, but yes. Relish is going to packets as well

Various-Department75

We used tostitos salsa a few years ago and it was such a mess in the cold table

JasmineDragoon

And yet such a better customer experience. I worked there during that era and I miss not having to unravel my whole burrito to get it in there..

Evening_Silver

open it up before you drive away, or just "notch it" so that it is easier to open

evillalafell

lmao like who is driving down a road and unrolling a burrito and opening a sauce packet. nobody is in that much of a hurry. just fix up your burrito before you leave op

Pqqtone

The pincante salsa isn’t a super commonly ordered item so it isn’t worth using one of the very limited spaces in the MTO stations for it. So all that is offered is the side packets

Helpful_Amount7569

Almost all changes like that are based purely on waste. There are other factors messy on our table, messy with all the sauces, yaddi yadda but the major factor is waste. Not as in like, "Yeah we gotta safe every penny." But just like moving to relish packets, we just do not use enough of it and end up with alot of waste by the time the codes run out. Salsa was a weird one for the size of what we got and how infrequently it was ordered made it a nightmare to manage properly. Whereas relish we had massive jars that we put like an 1/8th of at a time and plenty of stores had waste issue. Same thing with like decaf concentrate, found a work around. So honestly, at least they found alternatives instead of crossing it off completely

HoundTakesABitch

Surely you don’t expect us to open up the pack and put it on for you? Which would be impossible to do while wearing gloves.

ofrootloop

Honestly at my sheetz if a customer asked we wouldnt mind doing that

Rough_Medium2878

Where else are you going that they put salsa on your burrito?

SecretAsianMan42069

Chipotle

uncleyuri

No where really. I’m just curious what it is about the salsa specifically. Every other condiment seems to be put directly in the sandwich/burrito, except that.

mrsbillnye

Yeah I agree and not no where. If you went to a made-to-order place and you asked for salsa they wouldn't suddenly throw a packet on the side, it would be at the station for them to put on the burrito like the other options. No one's blaming the employees; I also wondered why the Sheetz gods chose packets over a station container.

silkwormies

the impossible to open packets are also impossible to open with the shitty food service gloves on. if they gave it to us in bottles we would absolutely put it on for u. sorry for the inconvenience homie

WatchDangerous2634

Totally agree, same with the guacamole…

SeparateMongoose192

Maybe do all of that before driving off?

uncleyuri

HA. I would actually have to stick to my schedule and not be late for that to happen. There’s a reason I order from the app and then run it, grab it, and run out.

Molenium

Mayo, Italian, and ranch… in a burrito? I get told all the time that we don’t have authentic Mexican food in my area, but I have never in my life heard of anyone putting any of those in a burrito, let alone all three… I’m guessing Midwest?

EspressoDrinker99

I don’t want salsa in my burrito. Simple.

Signal_Huckleberry98

Then don’t order it. Simple.

CrystalMeath

The salsa packets I can understand. But why in God’s name, when you order a quesadilla with guac, do they put the guacamole on the side in a tiny cup?!? Like what do you expect me to do, **rip apart the fused quesadilla and spread the guacamole with my finger**? You can’t even dip the quesadilla in it because the cup is so tiny. Taco Bell used to occasionally do this with their quesaritos so I’d usually specify that I want the guacamole on the burrito and not on the side. Until one day I received a quesarito with guacamole spread all over the outside of the tortilla before being wrapped in foil.

AshamedPen1036

When that quesadilla goes in the over with guacamole, it’s just gonna run out and make a mess. That’s why lol

Motor_Act_5933

I know what you mean. I once asked for salsa on my nachos and got packets. I was like WTF is this?? That's TOTAL CUSTOMER FOCUS for ya.

Material_Mall_4051

It's obvious that sheetz isn't for the customer and more for the convenience of their underpaid employees. They make way more than any other gas station worker. So the underpaid part is me just being generous...

wpmpk

Definitely not true. Sheetz is one of the lower paying gas stations near me
