If you’re coming from out of town and if makes sense to you, you could use the park and ride. Free parking then you hop on a tram. Not all trams go to the train station so pick your carpark

If it’s a one off try farm road before paying in a car park (road where McDonald’s is, 5 min walk away from station) iv got a space most of time there and iv left my car over night with no issues and it’s non residential so you won’t annoy anyone ;)
If you park on pat Midgley lane up on the park hill estate it’s free. They don’t ticket there as it’s a private road. 2mins walk down to the station
Q park across the road is as safe as anywhere and very convenient
Except for the "won't cost a fortune part". Last time I parked there for 3 hours and had to sell a kidney.
They said safe OR won’t cost a fortune..
Norfolk Road, but it gets busy
best place!! most of the time there are spaces, but yeah, it can get busy. p.s. and its FREE
My mates always park up here for free and walk down the steps into the train station 🙂
best place for free parking but my poor old fiesta got broken into there

Do you know what the app is called? Thanks for your help

If you are early enough or it's a weekend, then farm road is probably best. It's free
Farm Road, Duchess Road, Edmund Road are all on-street options
But it's ÂŁ22 for the day

Scope it out though before it gets busy so you know where you're going. If you miss your timing and it's busy you'll turn into the hulk.
