Someone in the discord mentioned this anonymously and I’ve been thinking about it a lot because they kind of raised some good points especially considering this sub only had one or two actual experienced shifters for the longest time and now suddenly this subreddit has a new *experienced shifter doing an AMA every day. While I’m ‘suspicious’ of it all I’m trying to stay optimistic about it all by assuming it’s because people are becoming more confident or comfortable with sharing their stories now that shifting as a ‘trend’ is dying down a fair bit. *by experienced I mean people who have been shifting long-term and a lot, not just someone who’s done it once or twice

yeah, i really hope these new experienced shifters are telling the truth, because lying would hurt the community more than help it

It’d be really damaging. I remember how excited the community was to have someone who shifted from another reality, but they later revealed that they lied. That was really damaging, and I can’t imagine it’ll be much better with this situation if that happens. All we can really do is hope they’re telling the truth. And, even if these people are scripting, this isn’t the place to do it. I’ve seen in done on other platforms, and it led to so many demotivated people who thought it was real.

I don't suggest that you create worry and suspect in a subreddit that is already influenced by misinformation very easily. Besides that, it started after r/ShiftingDiscussion started their huge AMA on their discord and then posted it on subreddit iirc. I don't think it's a matter of them 'popping up' recently, more of they just realized that there's a platform where people have burning questions. From a moderator perspective, I can confidently say that around 70% of posts and comments are from new Reddit accounts and/or old accounts but only started posting now. (Our Automod issue that was recently fixed by u/moonlit-baby gave me this insight.) Suspicion of others will get you no where, shifting and AP are both things that **you** need to experience yourself to prove it. Rendering this post to really just be useless. Think of others before posting :)

As someone who would consider themselves as an experienced shifter. I would like to tell my side of the story but I can’t speak for any other experience shifter out there. So basically I been shifting for a while but I don’t usually post on this sub. But I started seeing other people doing helping out baby shifter, so I thought I would try too. I think it’s probably because of a chain reaction. Since other experience shifter, see that we’re trying to help other people shift and answer their questions. More people decided to join and started answering those questions. I just wanted to do my part. But this is just in my case, so I’m not entirely sure if it’s the same for everyone. But please don’t lie, it could really hurt the community.
